Nice double post , why?
how can the other to go out?
the brake lamps are no on before you press the brakes
so cant go out.
your other post is vastly more clear.
i say abandon this, and use comments on the the other.
i think you said on the other post
the brake lamps dim or go out with only head lamps on.
right,.
how about parks on only and brakes.
parks is the head lamps switch only 1 click.

Bad earth or ground somewhere at the back lights or further along the loom ,best advice is to create another ground on each of the back lights

1978 Jeep CJ5. When brakes are applied interior, side marker, and park/running lights all come on. Where is the problem?

There is a short or badly installed light bulb in the rear brake light housing. Those bulbs use both running lights and brake light filaments and if a filament shorts to the other filament or they are installed wrong, pressing the brake pedal energizes the brake light and inturn the running lights.

All lights work on the rear except the three brake lights

Sounds like the brake light switch has a problem. Located above brake pedal and activated with the brake pedal arm. Check for power going in and coming out when you apply the brake.

You can adjust the switch by putting your thumbs on either side of the switch plunger and pushing toward the brake lever. The switch shaft will ratchet into the new position which is will then be depressed by the brake lever when it is the brake is not being depressed.

No tail lights only driverside brake light works

Test the connectors that the lights go in with someone applying the brake. These connectors are not very well made. You may need a new connector on the side that's not working.
