I cant find the reverse curcuite wire for my 2005 savana to hook up a simple back camera

Hi George Blanke, we want to help you with your question, but we are unsure what you mean by reverse wire. I am guessing it is the wire at the back of the reverse globe. Pull the reverse globe and look at the wire behind the globe

Lite green wire at the back-up lights . Were are you trying access this circuit from ? At the back up lights them selfs or inside the vehicle ? The power comes from the BCM -body control module . connector 5 pin F ! The camera i'm guessing mounts where ? inside in the back or on the bumper ? And the part that shows the picture , screen up on the dash or near ? What needs power and where ? Again , i'm guessing the screen up near the dash ! The BCM is located Lower right side of the I/P . Connector 5 is black and has 6 pin cavitys ! And the wire color is L-green

I am trying to hook an esky backup camera to a boss audio bv9986bi sterio. I have the the rca wire hooked up to rca input on the stereo, the red wire from the camera spliced into the reverse light.

When put in reverse the image is up side down

It's so simple. According to international colour code the +ve wire should be either red or yellow and the negative wire should be black or blue. you need to secure the camera power wires to the right wires of the rear lights and it's done. the image signal cable wires should then be connected to the LCD screen on your dashboard or a detachable one.

HOOKING UP BACKUP CAMERA

Hi Jim
You have to connect the negative to the vehicle body, and the positive to the reverse light wire.
this way the camera will comes ON when you put the selector in reverse.

just check behind thos acesseries disconnect the power wire and reconnect from 2nd battery donot forget to use fues box.

Have you hooked a scanner up to the computer to see what voltage the computer is reading at time of ignition? If the computer is having an issue registering the min required 9.6 volts, this could be why its working when a booster is applied, artifically spiking the voltage the computer is reading out

2005 GMC Savana. Rail lights don't work properly.

Check any ground wire you can find. They may have gotten corroded and no longer grounding properly.

also I would check both fuse boxes and make sure there aren't any blown fuses.

I'm trying to hook up a Camera back up system. I need to tap into the power for the back up light to power the camera. My problem is I can not figure out which wire powers the back up lights.

Hi, the backup light power is on the white wire with a light green stripe. You can tap it on either side (left or right tail).

electrical problems Need help with a 2005 Savana 1500 6cyl. I had a few times (4) since Sept 2013 that the antitheft system would prevent the truck from starting,it would start but the engine would cut off after a second.It hasn't happened since January. Three weeks ago, the heater blower would stop when I turned the engine off but then start blowing 2-3 seconds later,with the key out of the ignition, so I have to turn the knob to off to get it to stop. Two weeks ago, the battery guage needle started fluctuating wildly and then just quit working. Last week the dash lights went out,all the gauges are working except for the battery one.The radio display reads LOC . So at night the only lights on are the odometer and tho LOC on the radio. I can't even turn on the high beams. Another problem I have been having recently is when accelerating from stop, it's hard to accelerate,as if I had my foot on the brake.When it gets to speed everything is fine. Sometimes, I leave home and it has difficulty accelerating at every stop I do.Then I may stop at the store a few minutes,get back in the truck,drive away and everything is fine,accelerates like it's supposed to. What's going on and are all these problems related? Any help appreciated.
