There is no place to attach the cable on my come along

come alongs are attached at one end to a fixture ( tree ,back of a vehicle etc
the cable is thread through the jaws of the comalong and the back and forward action of the lever pulls it in and consequently anything that the other end of the cable is attached to is pulled along ( out of the bog etc)
that is why the cable has one end with a "eye" and the other end is plain and straight so that it goes through the machine

How do i replace my hand brake cable on my ford falcon XH ute

wait a bit it rear disc or rear drums on that ute

will assume its under dash hand brake pull lever tyoe

the disc setup may have single cables for each rear
rear disk brake cable is approx $ 150

if your XH it is close to the XE and XF set up drums
a complete one line loop cable outer and inner
with plastic grommets along the back chassis rail ( they break )
so the one inner cable works both rear handbrake shoes

hand brake cable is a shorty

undo the adjustment thread
just below the hand brake cable point up somewhere above the gearbox
(drums )
after new cable fitted
drums are adjusted with the old school way with the handbrake adjuster tool
handbrake cable adjusted

then the handbrake handle when pulled out to hold needs14 plus clicks
comes out a long way for some weird reason
on drums
if cable adjustment is done wrong onrear drums the handbrake cable will come loose in the drum as you drive along

S40, volvo, keep blowing a turn signal fuse

When a fuse keeps blowing everytime you replace it that means there is a short circuit along its cable. Check the flasher cables or call a car electrician to do it.

Positive battery cable replacement

Use a battery wrench usually 8mm to open the terminal bolts. Undo both of them and disconnect both the cables (positive and negative). Disconnect the other end of the positive cable by following it along its length. Undo the bolt that holds it. And now you can replace the cable. Follow the same process in reverse for reinstallation.

How do u replace a shifter cable for a 1988 honda accord lx

remove cable from transmission, follow cable behind engine, along exhaust pipe, then up through floor into center console.along the way you will find retainer clips (on both ends of cable) which hold the cables in place, and also underneath you will find a fastner which holds cable to bottom of floorboards and a panel with a rubber gasket in which the cable goes up into the console through. you must then remove center console to release the other end of cable.Once cable is loose go under car in the middle of the cable and pull out from floor then pull the other end out from engine compartment.
