Could be the clock spring assembly in the steering column . Do you know what that is ? The clock spring allows the buttons on the steering column to be connected to the vehicle .
How cars clock spring works
Testing the electrical with a DVOM -digital volt ohm meter is the proper way to diagnose electrical systems . Viewing wiring diagrams to see where connections are for easy testing of the circuit . Enter vehicle info . year , make , model engine . Under system click on engine ,then under subsystem click on speed controls . Hit the search button , then click the blue link .Scroll down to second diagram an you will see the air bag slide contacts . This is a clock spring I think , never had your type vehicle apart . Do you also have a air bag light on ?

Hi everyone, I have this vectra c 2003 and the audio controls on the steering wheel (left side) its not working. Anyone any sugestion? thanks.

Clocks spring needs replaced95%of the time. The clock spring right below steering wheel allows wires to withstand twisting when turning steering wheel. They are notorious for the wire breaking and not making connection. Clock spring also has air bag wires which could be the next wires to break causing airbag not to deploy when its needed.

Hi, in my corolla 2009 the horn don't work, the problem is in steering wheel, something is missing, do anyone have a diagram or Picture about how should be Wired?

There isn't much. You have a clock spring in between your steering wheel and the steering column. Is your air ba light on? Of do you even have one when you turn the ignition on?

I changed my clock spring i my 1994 f-150 and now i dont have sprk to start the truck. what could cause this?

I have an 04 f-150 got a recall on the clock spring, took it to the dealer and they changed the clock spring. It's possible that where you changed it yourself it may have to be re-programmed with a computer to reset it. Hope this helps, Mitchell.

I am looking for the position of the thermostat for a 2000 Monte Carlo. I recently changed mine and the car is starting to overheat. I think I installed it in the wrong position (clock position like 6 and...

there are only two ways to install the thermostat. there are no clock positions . You can only install it right side up or upside down. What is important is that the spring side faces the engine . In other words this spring side goes in first, you shouldn't see the spring after you installed it, before installing the housing that hooks into the upper radiator hose.

1996 caravan can anyone change the clock spring?or does it have to go to a dealer?

Anyone can change it. Just remove the steering wheel and upper and lower column shrouds to gain access. Disconnect the battery first before attempting repairs on your airbag system.
