Changed blower motor olds 88 1997 now heat barley comes out on high. Also waiting on small hose that went into firewall and blower . No one could tell me what this hose is for

Does the air flow correctly on the other speeds ?
If its the hose I am thinking of, its designed to help cool the blower motor.

I have changed the thermostat on my 1996 Olds 88 and have checked the level of the coolant and everything there is in proper order. The blower works in both AC mode and heat mode, when I select cool the...

check the heater inside under the dash and make sure the actuator motor is opening and closing the doors fully on the heater to direct the heat and ac.

Removal of olds 88 fan blower switch

The resistor pack is not used in the high position so the most likely cause would be the switch itself

I have a 1998 olds 88 And. The blower motor motor isn't working where is the relay for the blower motor exactly

I think under the hood in a fuse box.I would check the blower motor resistors connection afterwards.Turn ignition and fan switches on then wiggle the pigtail going to the resistor.Its located in the heat duct on the passenger side near the floor.These resistors are known for getting hot and melting the pigtail causing it to loose connection.

the blower motor you have must be for the automatic climate control. If so the fan module is at fault keeping the blower motor on

Look for the blower motor relay in the relay box,it most likely is stuck in closed position,replace it with a new one.
