Trying to hook up aftermarket stereo with no factory harness. How can I go about wiring my new stereo wires or my replacement harness (with module) to my car's already existing loose stereo wiring??

Hi Daniel

You need to test & label all the loose wires.

Use a multimeter in Ohms mode to place a tickle of electricity to each speaker wire. you should hear each speaker crackle. (Multimeters only use a 9v battery internally)
Label each pair of wires for speakers.
Their color coding may help. Keep the negative & positive wires to the speakers correct so that the speakers all travel in a forward motion together or you will have distortion from one speaker that is out of phase with the others.
You will also have a permanent +12v line and a Ignition Key +12 volt line.
One keeps the station memory etc when the ignition key is off.

Cheers

Mitsubishi galant viento 96 auto trans looses drive over approx 2000rpm

Have the tranny oil level checked first off.. Next have the tranny pressures checked as it appears that you are not getting sufficient pressure to hold the gears. May need a tranny adjustment in the bands and clutches in the box

My custom hardtail has sat for a while, now solenoid sticks when I push button

The best explanation on why it tickles when you push your belly button is that when the umbilical cord is cut, the nerves leading to it often "hook up" with other nearby places in the body, and that nerve causes the ticklishness when you touch the belly button. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Car won't stay running volts light is on bought a new battery thought that was the problem but my stereo shuts off and then if you don't hit the gas the car stalls then won't start with out a jump

You should have your alternator checked. If it is going bad, it won't produce the necessary power to keep your battery charged and run options like stereo, AC or heat. You might be lucky and a mechanic can fix it, but if you let it get burnt out it is going to cost considerably more!

No you could be lucky depends on RPM at time of brakage but chances are the valves are bent a good mechanic can pull the head have it reworked and reinstall it for about $600 or you can buy a chilton
manual disconnect the exaust the intake pull the head have it reworked for about $225 $45.00 new belt $60.00 for a new head gasket cost $330.00 but you have to do it your self. But You May have been lucky a long time ago a friend of mine had a timing belt break on a fiat shop told him $300 this was in 1987 I bought the car from him for $50.00 dollars $15 dollars more than the junkyard would give him I bought a timing belt for $25.00 spent 3hrs installing it, Drove the car for a year and a half till one of the rear strut mounts tore loose still a good deal but I was lucky had valves been bent i would have lost 75 dollars in87 that was 1/2 a weeks pay wish you the best of luck oh by the way most engines bend valves
