Question about Honda Civic

Depends: Firstly, redlining is not good for your engines life., that is why they normally have regulators installed to cut the power and save the driver from blowing his engine.
Lesson: in your 1st,2nd,.. gear, when you floor the accelerator, you will notice that your rev counter is in the red but your speedo can only get to a certain speed and not go further until you change to the next gear. If you continue in the first gear and the rev counter stays in the red for a long time you will blow your motor. I'm giving you an e,example of the first gear as it more dramatically evident of the damage by just listening to the engine. Now in your top gear, it is the same, you should never drive constantly in the red scale as it is detrimental to your cars engine no matter what the speed.
