Question about Cars & Trucks

Open Question

On the issue of the kyron going into safe mode as soon as 3000 rpm is reached in gears 4,5 and 6 I got the manual for the vehiclcle. What is the "to do" answer for the problem. ( I am an accountant!)

Could it be a sensor saying the vehicle is in these gears? Why not other gears? Could it be speed sensor? Ideas to check please.

SOURCE: "unidentified" Fuel System issue - check engine light on

What you have is a vacuum leak in the evaporative emission line.
The solenoid valve or line is broken allowing un-metered air to enter the intake system and is causing the high idle.
Once the leak is fixed, the codes can be cleared and you should be OK barring any additional problems, but the vacuum leak needs to be fixed first.
Let me know.

SOURCE: I cannot see at what speed I am travelling and cannot pass 3000 r

there is a either a engine vacuum problem maybe caused by the oxygen sensor not working properly or your fuel filter needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: 93 Honda Civic EX -- engine light on..possible MAP sensor.

I dont think it is the MAP sensor.Your problem is the mass air flow meter.Change that.Thats all to do with the air to fuel mixture.

In manual mode, is the tiptronic supposed to stay in the gear you choose until rev limit is reached? Or will it shift up on its own before the limit is reached?

It will only downshift on its own, it will stay in the selected gear until the RPM is too low and downshifts or until you manually shift to a higher gear.

When driving in 5th gear should the RPMs run at 3000 RMPS. Mine is a 4 cly 5 speed

You don't provide much information to go on (type of vehicle, type of engine, 2wd or 4wd, etc.) RPM is always going to be based on the speed you're traveling with a standard transmission. My 4 cyl 5 speed Nissan pickup in 5th gear runs at 3000 RPM at about 75mph.

Stick shift # Automatic RPM

That is normal,If you do the same speed in 4th gear the rpm's will almost double.

The rpm's will repond faster in a manual than an automatic.

In a manual the engine supplies the power required directly to the gear that you have selected thus the engine rpm's will increase or decrease as needed.
