Are my Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3 tyres likely to cause poor fuel economy (14L/100km)in my 2015 BT50 Freestyle cab ute or is there a more fundamental problem?

I am not familiar with either the tyres or your vehicle.

Some tyres do have a greater rolling resistance and cause the vehicle to use a little more fuel. Suspension and steering misalignment wastes a great deal more fuel as does a binding brake or incorrect tyre pressures - some tyres need a great deal more pressure than those recommended for standard fitments.

A small amount of additional toe-in or toe-out can waste a deal of fuel due to the fact the vehicle is effectively pushing the tyre sideways several feet each mile and the more grippy a tyre is the more effort is needed to push it sideways.

It is worth knowing the stock toe-in or toe-out figure applies only when the camber angles are correct. The toe figure has a direct relationship to the camber angle and when the camber angles are unequal no toe figure will be correct.

What is the correct tyre pressure for a 205/50/16

depending on the vehicle /weight and expected speed, 26-28 psi. heavy vehicle or travelling at high speed it can go up to 30psi. The recommended tyre pressure will be on the specification plate for wheels and tyres on the door edge or door opening pillar. Some makes of tyres have the tyre pressure moulded into the side wall of the tyre.

Tire rotation hyundai accent

tyre rotation is from front to back on the same side of the vehicle . It is recommended by tyre shops as it is good for business ( 4 tyres instead of 2) The other down side to tyre rotation is that you do not get a good idea of wheel alignment problems to know what to fix. Next down side is that once a wear pattern has been established that pattern will continue because the tyres are radial construction
Front drive cars wear out the front tyres in 1/4 the time that it takes for back tyres and a faulty tyre will have a wear pattern that indicates wheel alignment/ driver abuse but in fact is from case construction. It is something that I have not recommended since radial tyres came into being.

Front passenger side thumping at very low speeds

check if you tires have rayon cords or steel belts. this is a problem associated with the older tyres that had rayon cords as the main structure of the tyre. When left standing after running and allowed to cool the rayon belts actually took on a flat spot on the bottom and the noise lasted until the tyre warmed up enough for the tyre pressure to make the tyre round again. In extreme cold it may be the same for steel belted radials as the flat bottom of the tyre would hold the shape until the rubber warmed up .

It is shakey when driving 30 or under..

I think you will need to visit a tyre shop and have it lifted and spin the wheels ,i am 99% sure the cause is deformed tyres caused by exposure to the sun as its fairly common here in spain on vehicles parked in the sun all the time and the only solution is new tyres and when not using vehicle then cover the tyres with some cardboard or a couple of wheel covers which are sold here .

have you had a 4 wheel alignment done it may be out or poss that your frame is bent causing the tires to wear.need to know where the wear is like the middle or sides or two tires or all four.it is possible to have a slight bend in the frame it happened to my truck from brand new.
