All brake lines go to a box not sure which line goes to which hole.

The master cyl. has two resivors in it the large one is for the front brakes and the small one for the rears. Follow the lines coming from the front wheels to the block and the line from the large should go there. But it seems to me that the line had different size fittings so they could not get crossed up??

Hi, I have a 1998 Ford Escort SE with 2.0

The large end should fit the rubber grommet, so it goes down. The small diameter end should connect to the vacuum line.

I have a fuse coming from my 99 cavaliers starterand it bolts on somewhere. car wont start/turn over. looks like the bolt from the fuse came off and cant figure where it goes

Your starter probably has two wires that attach to it. One large wire and one small wire. the large one is from the battery and the small one is from the ignition switch. Disconnect your battery and remove the starter. You will be able to tell which terminal on the starter the small wire goes to. This small wire sends 12 volts to the solenoid and engages the starter to the engine and make the starter motor spin. The end of the small wire looks like a fuse to some because it's a loop in a rubber insulator. In the picture below the large wire (from the battery) goes to the top terminal and the small wire goes to the small terminal on the right side.

I'm trying to put the wires back on the starter solenoid on a 1973 Corvette. I've 3 terminals( 2 small, 1 large) and 4 wires. 1 large brown, 1 large red, 1 small green, and 1small black. What goes where?

Where is the large brown one coming from? The large red one comes from your positive terminal on the battery that goes to the large terminal on the starter the green and black go on the other two terminals. The large brown one is a mystery. It could be to power something that was added onto the car that needed a large power source. Has someone put any kind of large speaker system or air ride or something like that? Do you have a load leveling shock absorber system?

Ihave a 92 mustang that wont crank, new soleniod but need to know where wires go.

The wire from the battery goes on one of the large posts, the wire to the starter goes on the other large post, as well as any accessory wires. Usually there is only one or two that go on that side. The small wire goes on the very small stud. If there are two very small studs, use one, and if it doesn't crank, use the other. One is used for another purpose.

I disconnected and replaced the solenoid on my 1989 Ford F-250 and made the mistake on not labling the wires and now I dont know which one go where can u help?

You'll need a volt tester or a test light. The large wire from the battery should go to the first large lug, the other larger wire goes to the starter goes to the other large lug. There should be one or two smaller wires that fit the large lugs. If there is only one small wire with a large connector it should go on the starter lug. If there are two small wires with large connectors, you'll have to check to see which one powers the car and ingition. Turn the key and have someone watch the dash lights then touch one wire to the wire from the battery, the one that light up the dash lights goes there, the other will most likely go on the other side but not always. There should also be one or two wire with small connectors these are the ignition switch and ignition wires. Once you have the other wires hooked up, have someone try to start the truck the wire that is hot only when they are trying to start the truck goes to the small lug by the battery side of the solenoid, if there is another wire it will go to the other lug.
I know this is a lot. If you need more help respond to this question and I'll be notified by email and I'll try to help you further.

Replacing a starter on a 91 Camaro... what wire goes where... could use a photo or pictures... thanks...

There will be the battery cable, 1 or 2 fusible link wires with the same size hole terminal as the battery cable, those go on the large terminal at 12 o'clock on the solenoid. The other wire, with a small terminal goes on the small terminal, at 3 o'clock on the solenoid, the terminal by the engine block.

Hello, i need instructions on how to wire a replacement solenoid in my 1995 ford ranger pickup, 4 cyl. The directions in the package only account for 3 wires and i have 4 wires going to my origional...

Starter solenoid???? 2 large posts and 2 small posts on old one or 2 large and 1 small? the one large wire goes to the starter(rear post), all the others goes on the front post. little wire goes on the little post, if the old one has 4 posts, then you have the wrong solenoid.

Leak in evap system, where and what is an evap system. 2001 mitsubishi Galant

I have the same failure that occurred when smogging my Ford Ranger. The EVAP test was just added a couple of years ago and it tests for leaks in the gas tank vapor recovery system. What this is a system of vapor recovery lines that connect from the gas tank and goes to a canister then returns to the intake and on the next engine start and gets used, instead of leaking into the air.

The only issue is these lines can develop a leak at any of the connection points or along the rubber portions and can be a pain to replace depending on your application. So until you fix the leak you will fail this test since they pressurize the system and if there is a leak it won't hold the pressure.
