Car stalled due to rising waters

Your question is...?

If any significant amount of water got into the intake while your car was running, the engine has very probably been destroyed.

If, on the other hand, sufficient water did NOT get into the intake to destroy the motor, it's still possible that water got into any of the electrical connectors and/or the car's electronics, in which case the electronics may be toast or - in the best of all worlds - the car may be fine after all water has dissipated from inside whichever electrical connectors (this may take a very long time).

How do I replace my wheel sensors for ABS? Thanks

The problem is with corrosion, because seat is not using any lubrication when they fit this sensor to wheel hub. After removing a screw in most of cases you need to destroy old one. But before you replace the sensor check it because some problems with abs are due to connection (wiring) pin outs corrosion or abs control module faults.

Why wont my bmw 525td key turn the starter ?

Usually low battery in trunk. Both batteries need to be replaced at the same time, or the weaker of the 2 will destroy the newer one. Seen it several times on 7 series due to all the electronics. 5 series is similar.

Futura 2000 loss of acceleration

you must reset the ignition timint to manufacturer specification. However will be a Great idea, that your RUN the scanner/computer for easy diagnostic. The electronic vehicle right now is very complicated. You must have something wrong: Ignition Coil or PCM faulty+spark wires+sparkplug+BCM+sensor, etc faulty. see the diagram attached.
God bless you

My engine was having a slow start. Thought I needed a new battery. Bought one and stalled it. But the entire electical system went completely out! My installer also accidently hooked negetive and positive...

When you connect the battery backwards you can cause major damage. You can blow the alternator or its fusible link. You can destroy electronics, particularly the various computers - and these are not cheap

When your starter gets wet does that cause your starter to go out?

It could but usually not. Moisture could over time cause the brushes to stop making contact.

I own a 2001 Mitsubishi Mirage, ES. Battery is fully charge and car won't turn on. I'm able to listen to a slight click and it doesn't crank.

Even if the battery is fully charged, a dirty or loose connection could cause an interruption in the current flow to the starter. Make sure all connections are free of corrosion and properly tightened.

If, after doing this it still clicks, then your problem may well be a bad solenoid on the starter.

If this turns out to be the case, you can purchase a warrantied rebuilt (or new, if you prefer) starter at your local auto parts store.

Be sure to remember, if you change the starter, to disconnect the battery until the installation is complete, so as to not cause a short if a tool inadvertently touches bare metal while installing.

Good luck!

My 307 peugeot wont start no power no lights noyhing was runnig fine all day untill i tried it this morning and nothing

May be the battery of your car is got completely drained. sometimes by mistake any of the car lights or ac or any battery consuming accessory remains on.And due to this battery gets completely drained and due to no voltage in battery the car does not start. In some cases the car does not gets turned off.If there is a problem in ignition switch circuit and this also drains the battery.Get the car battery voltage checked. It should be 12 volt if the battery is properly charged. This will let you know what is the problem .Also check the battery connections if its got loose then this can happen.------------- Thanks.

I have a 2002 doge ram my positive terminal was really corroded .. was completely covered in battery corrosion and i need to take off and clean to regain power.. what might have caused this?

if the connection was corroded severely than its possible the ignition system couldn't get the power necessary to fire the electronic ignition system. Auto parts stores carry a anti-corrosion spray can that helps the terminals resist corrosion. just spray it on until the terminals are covered.
