SOURCE: I got into accident, airbags deployed, dont want new airbags, but front blinkers dont work, how do i fix?

If this was a reportable accident, your insurance company should take care of the air bag and consequencial damages. Bypassing safety devices as such creates greater risk of severe injury because the rest of the vehicle is designed with all systems functional. Ck w/ insurance co.

SOURCE: car accident - airbags did not deploy

You would need to consult a lawyer in your state/province, the dealer can only go by the CarFax info as supplied but their mechanic should have been able to note the previous damage during the safety inspection, the air bags not going off may have been due to the location and speed of impact, as the air bags are triggered by the crash severity sensors. If the air bags where deployed previously and the crash sensors where not replaced, this may be the reason the bags did not deploy again, although the vehicle should have had air bag codes and a light on if they had not been replaced. again this sounds like a legal matter, so if I would consider legal consultation before going back to your dealer!

SOURCE: airbags

You may need to call several salavage yards, but there should be one out there that will sell you one without the air bag. If your steering wheel isn't damaged, you might be able to disconect the air bag from the steering wheel.

Where is fuel cutoff or reset switch on 2008 kia sportage

"Here is what you do: The auto fuel cutoff switch is located on the passenger's side of the engine compartment. In the event of a collision or sudden impact, the auto fuel cutoff device cuts off the fuel supply. If this device is activated, it must be reset by pressing in on the top of the switch before the engine can be restarted.

2008 kia sportage left turn signal stay illuminated while the head lights are on, what would be causing this?

Usually means there is a ground problem in the socket for the parking and turn signal bulbs. The parking light is grounding thru the turn signal circuit.

We had two separate accidents involving a deer the airbags never deploy in neither collision. How do i disconnect them?

They didn't deploy cause you hit a deer, the airbags sensors need to get a gforce reading to deploy, hitting a deer ksnt enough to do it

2013 Volkswagen Beetle airbags did not deploy in my accident

The airbag technology uses many factors when deploying. If it doesn't see the need, they won't pop out at you possibly injuring you more than the small accident. When I was clipped on my rear corner and spun me around in the intersection, they didn't pop. But a head first hit popped them. The primary sensor is behind the front bumper

IF AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON WILL THIS HARM THE CAR ANY KIND OF WAY?

No, but your airbags may not deploy when you need it to like in an collision. Airbags have allowed me to walk away from an accident a couple of times and I wouldn't take a chance and not get it checked.

Airbag locations

In the steering wheel and passenger side dash.Due to the age of the vehicle probably doesn't have the curtain "side" airbags. The airbags were designed primarily for head on collisions. Here is some useful information to why the may have not deployed courtesy of http://www.asashop.org/autoinc/dec2001/collision.htm
How Air Bags Work To have a frontal (driver or passenger) air bag deploy, certain criteria must be met. One of these criteria is that the frontal impact must be within a 60-degree window, occurring within 30 degrees from the vehicle's centerline. Another key element is that the crash forces are equivalent to a head-on collision with an immovable barrier at 10-15 miles per hour. Because a typical automobile accident only lasts about 0.125 (1/8th) of a second, air bags deploy within 15 to 20ms after the initial crash impact. To create a protective cushion between the occupant and the vehicle's interior, the air bag inflates at speeds up to 200 mph within approximately 30ms after impact. This allows the occupant to contact a fully inflated bag within approximately 45 to 50ms after the initial crash impact. Approximately 100ms after impact the bag deflates.
