SOURCE: oil filter in civic 97

If you go to a reputable motor factor,
you can only be sold the correct filter for the civic.
As there are soo many variables in engine type, it's almost impossible to tell, oil volume, or which type filter.
However, I will say, be sure that you don't mix semi-synthetic oil, and mineral oil.
Oil changes should be undertaken every 30,000 miles, (unless under extra work load, (in which case, slightly more regularly))

Otherwise, 10/40 or 15/40 grade oil, is perfectly fine.
The trick to not overfilling the oil, is simply just to take your time, clean the dip stick and retry, until you have the correct reading.

SOURCE: Where can i locate emergency fuel shut off switch

There isnt one. no emergency shut off.

If there is a fuel issue, check your main relay (its under your drivers side dash to the left); the sodering points might have been cracked in the accident; as they tend to wear out and crack due to heat and wear anyways.

The emergency fuel shut off switch was pushed and my car wont start how do i fix that.

you just press down on the button at the top. see owner manual for location & rest procedure. How did it get tripped?

It is just a steel ball that flies up and hits a target and opens the circuit to shut off the fuel pump.

Where is the Parking Lights+ wire on a 97 Civic

You will need to find out the color code of the park light feed wire from the headlight switch. Then, you should be able to locate the wire behind the drivers side kick panel as it junctions and splits there to feed the front and rear of the car.

I can't get the door open to my gas tank. 2005 Honda Civic Hybri

In virtually all cars there is an emergency release mechanism located inside of the trunk. It's either a pull cord, or a means of twisting the release cable to remove the plunger from inside the fuel tank door. Look inside your trunk, pull back the liner if necessary, or feel around where the cable leads to the fuel tank door.

Once you diagnose the problem you will then know whether or not you will need to replace the release cable.
