SOURCE: Replaced rear axle pinion bearing and seal, need

There is no torque specs, this nut has to be tightened back like it was ,the best thing to do,was,to late now,is to use a torque wrench to remove the nut,and remember the torque, and when replacing it,torque it back to that spec, the reason being, there is a crush sleeve between the front pion bearing ,and the rear pinion bearing, and it has to be crushed to a certain amount,to aquire deepness into the ring gear, anyway just give it about 25 lbs torque, any more the crush sleeve will crush even more and the deepness of the pinion will be too much.

My heater on my Nissan 1400 bakkie stays on warm, moving the arm to "Off" does not help

Hi Johan, I believe the problem will be with either the operating cable or the heater control valve. Sometimes WD40 can work wonders on both, but each should be removed before being sprayed. If the cable or vave is damaged, replacement will be required. Regards John

I drive a Nissan 1400 bakkie (not a champ) i drives good and then starts jerking and wants to die as soon i i give petrol it sounds like its smothering

hi, personally ..i love that bakkie. Ok you changed points condensor, petrol filter! please check.. When it cuts out 1. if the ignition coil is not hot, if so thats your problem.2. also on the carb... over the needle and seat there is a tiny filter... somtimes gets blocked. 3. also check when it stolls if the fuel pump is not hot or pull the outlet fuel from the pump
and crank the engine... note if fuel comes out sufficiently.

1400 nissan bakkie brake problems, front right pipe to the calaper got cut we replaced it but got no pressure on the front wheels, back brakes work fine pressure on the pedal goes half way (rock hard at...

Some brake systems have a pressure control valve usually soon after the master cylinder that cuts off the circuit with low or no pressure in the event of a leak or rupture of the line.
Trace the metal brake lines from the master cylinder down the chassis and you may find a small cylindrical valve that has 2 inlets from the M/C and 2 outlets leading front and rear. The method of centring the piston in this valve varies from one supplier to another but basically the good rear system has pushed the piston one way and cut off the front circuit. If you lightly release the pressure in the rear system, then try and bleed the front system it may push the piston back to centre. If it does, close the rear system and then front and see if you have any front circuit pressure.
This is only a guess at your problem but remember, brakes are your life, don't be embarrassed to get help or get a manual.
