Actually its a 2000 alero problem im trying to figure out exactly the name of the frame to which the rack bolts on too is there any way a weld job in that area can do the trick ?

It is called the engine sub-frame. As far as welding, it depends on a lot of things like how much rust and corrosion you have and how badly dammaged the frame is. I would recommend taking it by a shop that does this kind of repair and have them look at it and give you some advise on how to repair it.
Replacing the sub-frame with a used one from a salvage yard might be a much better solution.

1993 Saturn SW1 station wagon

No, the transmission can be removed without doing that. You will need to support the engine.

Rusted subframe

You may need to get rid of it. If the frame is rusted, it's only going to get worse. If the motor mount is not sitting just right, it will only get worse too. I would either sell it as is or have a welder to look at it to see if it's repairable.

The rear window shattered on my 92 Buick Roadmaster Station wagon and when they came to put the new glass in the hinges were rusty. I can't find new hinges anywhere. What do I do?

just get used ones, make sure you inspect them before buying to make sure they still have grease and are not getting rusty, and sign of rust on them is a bad sign...

You may snear at used parts, but in alot of cases they are better used than new.

Removing engine

Yes it does. The R&P is attached to the subframe of the car. When you undo the rear sub frame bolts be sure to have a jack under both sides of the sub frame to support. The R&P is bolted to the sub frame and so is the engine.
