SOURCE: Power door is not delatching

there is a door lock actuator that has failed, it releases the latches so the door can open. you need to remove the door panel. unbolt the window and tape it as to hold the window up then remove the window regulator assembley then unbolt the lock actuator from the back side.

SOURCE: my sliding door is locked

you can try a screw driver, it is the actual latch that you are talking about, I am assuming that you have the panel off, so trace it back to the handle or handle to latch whichever is easiest and see why it is not catching/working. The cable/rod may have lost it's keeper.

SOURCE: My passengers side sliding door

It sounds like the problem is a failed lock solenoid, which is mounted on the door latch. The solenoid can be replaced separately from the rest of the latch. What you're going to have to do is get the door panel off while the door is closed to access the latch. The panel is held on with push in fasteners. Once the panel is off then you'll need to reach back to the latch and force the lock solenoid to the unlock position with a screwdriver or pliers, whatever you can get it to go with. Once it's unlocked then you can open the door, remove the latch and replace the lock solenoid.

Passenger Sliding Door Won't latch close on 2001 Chrysler Town and Country Van AWD

you will need to remove the fuse for the power side doors and back. Disconnect the battery to reset the ECU and the doors should open and close manually just fine. There is a safety release on the gas filler port to prevent the door on that side from opening with the port is opened. Make sure the fuel filler cap door works properly, if the sliding door on that side is the one that won't open.

How do I install the exterior front door handle?

Take out inner door handle bezel-1 philips screw. Then remove 2 large screws under inner door handle. The lower light lens can then be removed exposing 2 small philips screws. Remove those and take out light assy and unplug. Use a screwdriver to pry gently on window-lock control switch assy. Remove and unplug. Then gently pry inner door panel off. The inner door handle and cables can be moves by sliding plastic assy back and out. Then you can remove the plastic rainliner exposing the door handle assy. 2 10mm bolts hold it in. Theres also to rods to remove by releasing clips and sliding rods out.

The van was hit on the back passenger side resulting in a dent . The open door light along with the interior lights flashed when I hit a bump. I hear something that sounds like a fan continuosly blowing....

I think this may be the "closer" motor continuously trying to gain a positive latch--and unable to do so. This could be from a damaged latch switch.

The sliding door has three motors, a slide motor, a release (or unlatch) motor, and a closer (or latching) motor. The open door light and interior lights coming on seem to indicate that the "closed and latched" switch is sometimes open-- allowing the closer motor to continue to operate.

Another possibility is that the dent has changed the geometry of the door mechanism especially the draw of the pull cable. The slide motor has a sensor that pulses when it runs. The door management controller counts the number of pulses of the slide motor sensor to determine when the door is fully closed and then stops the slide motor. At that point, the closer motor operates to latch the door. If the cable geometry has changed, the door controller may be shutting off the slide motor prematurely and the closer motor cannot complete the latch.

Nissan Serena sliding door is jammed shut

The electric motor is designed to release if you try to open it by hand, chances are the lock assembly has come apart in the door, and it is usually a $2 plastic clip that causes hours of frustration. to get to it you would need to pull the inner pannel off the door.

I want to replace front passenger door

You'll need to support/make stable the door first. remove four (4) 12mm hinge bolts which attach the hinges to the door. Move the door about 4 inches away from the veh to access the door wire harness connector. Disconnect the door wire harness at the connector (connector at the veh body) by sliding the boot off connector & exposing the connector underneath. The connector has a 'release' tab center of the connector. press it and wiggle the connector loose. Install the new door in reverse order.

Could you please let me know how to unlock the door for a Merc 200 with a flat battery. The battery is under the rear seat and unable to open the door to reach the battery. Many Thx

The factory wireless key fob has a "mechanical" key embedded in it. Slide the lock tab to slide the "mechanical" key out then use it to unlock the driver's door.

Sliding power doors will not open

Just had the same problem with my '05 van. I put the Master Switch in the off position. I pulled fuse #7 on the driver side sub panel, located just above the engine hood release. I then disconnected the neg. terminal on the battery. I manually opened the pass. side slider and closed it.

I reconnected the battery and replaced fuse #7. I put the master door switch in the on position. I activated the auto door switch, and it worked.
