Was having a slight hitch when accelerating up hills then the other day my cat got red hot and it would barely run, now i fixed the cat problem but it wont start, any tips?

When the engine really got hot is there a possibility you may have over expanded some parts and now the engine is sort of tight and is not spinning fast enough to start.

Check for spark and fuel delivery but ......................

I have a 1987 ford F150 302 FI it has a hestitation when I first press the gas then it goes. It has a rough idle until you drive it awhile, but the truck starts right up. The truck set for a little longer...

Sounds like it could be a fuel delivery problem.Check the fuel pressure it should be 35-45 psi with engine running. If its not within these specs then replace pump and filter.

1989 Ford F150 runs fine then starts smoking black smoke and quits. After 20 minutes will restart and go again.

You have an excess fuel delivery problem. Black smoke indicates that too much fuel is entering the combustion chamber. If this vehicle has a carburator, check the float bowl level. If it is injected the main things to look for would be a stuck throttle position sensor or an injector that is not closing

Willrun when u spray fuel in intake new pump relays gettig fuel to rail something electrical or a sensor

Check and make sure that the fuel line pressure regulator is still holding. Remove and block off the vacuum line that operates it. If the truck runs better or overly rich, replace the regulator.

From a stop in my 2001 ford F150 it spudders when gas is applied when gas pedal is all the way down there is ZERO acceleration or horsepower

Is the service engine light on? How many miles are on it? This is a common occurrence with plugged catalytic converters, will idle ok but no power on acceleration. It can also be a fuel delivery problem, filter clogged, bad pump... Many possibilities.

Not gettig fuel

your fuel pump is weakening. If you have new filter and the fuel isn't flowing to the injector, the problem is the fuel pump.
