1995 Ford Windstar Engine Knocking at startup. Driven 2800 miles since last oil/filter change. Oil level SAT, Coolant level SAT and no visible leakage. Engine completely rebuilt 2 years ago. Engine has...

No if the oil light has flickered you have oil pressure loss some time just belive the sensor do help us out. lifter do not cause oil pressure loss pressure is built in the rotation of the crankshaft. The knock under the plenum will point you to that cylinder that is affected, (main bearing) as for a 1995 the injectors can only cause a misfire but no knocking noise, will they honor the warranty

Oil light comes on upon braking goes out when accelerate oil level is fine on 97 cavalier

You have a faulty oil sending unit. The oil sending unit senses how much oil pressure is in the car's engine, and when it is faulty, Will trigger the light. When you hit the brakes the oil in the engine will go forward/backward and that causes a fluctuation in the pressure, which causes the faulty oil sending switch to trigger the oil light. Replace the oil sending unit switch and you will be fine.

Check oil light comes off and on when you accelerate it it turns off when idle it turns on.

Hello: This condition could be caused by being low on oil, after engine running shut off, let set for 15 minutes on level ground, pull out dip stick wipe off stick back in the pull out and see if the oil level is on the full mark, if not add oil accordingly. It could also be caused by a bare wire touching a ground when driving. If none of the previous solve the problem then you may have a intermittent failure of the oil level sensor and the sensor will have to be replaced.

I have a 1995 Chevy Lumina with the ''Low Oil'' light on.

may be the oil sending unit is bad
may be the oil pump
is there any noise in the engine?
have the oil pressure check at a repair shop to make sure you have enough oil pressure
if it's ok then have the shop replace the switch while they have the old one out to check the pressure

How many quarts of motor oil does it hold with filter

the oil light isn't for oil level, its for pressure. if the oil is touching the lines on the dipstick, you have plenty. don't overfill it, that will cause other issues, such as smoking and misfiring. make sure the level is between the lines on the dipstick. if the level is correct and the light is still on, there is an internal oil pressure problem, such as oil pump, clogged oil passages, or worn out engine bearings (cam, crank, rods). you should not drive the car if it is full of oil and the oil light is on. have it towed to a shop or serious engine damage could occur, if it already hasn't

97 Chevy Cavalier - blue smoke and new clicking sound

After you have had it out for a drive shut it off and wait a couple minutes then check your oil level. If it is low wait a couple hours and check it again. I'm not sure what engine you have but what I'm getting at here is I have seen this happen on V8 engines, which I know yours is not, but sometimes the oil return holes in the heads will get clogged with sludge and the oil stays up on top of the head
instead of draining back to the oil pan quick enough and it gets sucked down through the valve guides in to the cylinders and will cause the blue smoke. It would also cause your ticking if there is lack of oil in the pan to properly lubricate the engine. If this is what is happening your vibration could be caused from damage to your engine bearings.
Has your oil light ever came on while driving?
You could have some other problem but thought I would throw this out to you as a possibilty
