Re: Where is a 1996 magna executive starter motor...
Tammy I believe if you look down between engine and radiator on your right / left hand side of the car, it's behind the front exhaust pipe or follow the positive lead from the battery. Hope this helps.

dont know what the heck the other answers were trying to do fix
T he question was how to remove the starter motor on a 4 cyl magna 1988 mitsubishi .. that makes it a TN or first gen magna
ok TN can be either carby or an EFI setup
disconnect battery
14mm bolts two hold the starter on
undo the battery positive cable on the starter
and the ignition wire on the starter
On an EFI you have to go under the engine and undo the support bracket of the efi inlet manifold to get the starter out
underneath the car
the interim shaft is one of the bolts holding the bracket to the block
on a carby you can do it from the top
from the drivers side
The starter motor is located on the passenger's side of the engine and access to the mounting bolts is from under the truck. For easily locating the starter.Just follow the positive terminal of your car battery. That connects to the car starter.

thanks.Helpmech.
Have you figured this problem out yet? I am think the relay fuse going to the starter is out, as I have a new battery. I am trying to look for a diagram for the relay fuses, that may be what you need also.
