i believe they are the same. they didnt change much till the 90's but check the diagram you got with the wires in the car if there the same color likley they are the same

use a 9v PP3 battery to listen for a click as you touch the wires across the battery ,most vehicles use say blue and then blue and black line so look for this sort of colouring ,Do fell we must send the red coats back into america to teach them how to pronounce aluminium and spell colour properly though .
