If you used the type you splice the wires, recheck the wires. Sensor 1 should have been the one up closest to the exhaust manifold. I prefer to pay $30 more and get the OEM plug-in type. You might try disconnecting the battery for a while.

SOURCE: water leak under the intake manifold,1995 toyota 4 runner

There is a heater core bypass pipe that runs from the block (under the manifold) to the bacl of theengine where you will see a flat rectangular "sheet metal" thing with a pipe coming out of it. The a rubber hose connects. You need to pull the top air plenums and intake to get to it. The p[ipe flange bolts to the block with silicone rtv as a sealant.

Why does EFI3 fuse keep blowing in a 2001 RAV4?

I had the exact same problem this week!

Turned out to be a shorted wire that feeds the lower oxygen sensor on the passenger side. The short was within the wiring harness that's buried under the intake manifold. Removing the intake manifold is a big hassle, as you can see here: Remove Intake Manifold To Find Leaking Head Gasket Toyota Rav4.

So to get quickly back on the road for the time being, I ended up just bypassing that section of the wire with a new length of wire, routed up & around the engine on the firewall. You can watch the video on the problem and repair here:

Where is the starter located 2006 toyota tundra 4.7 v8

the easiest way to locate it , follow the positive battery cable down to it, they are a bear to replace,, last thing I saw on them was you had to remove windshield wiper arms and all kinds of stuff to get to them heres what a guy listed on his 2006 If your Tundra has a 4.7 L v8 then be prepared for a long job. The starter is under the intake manifold and takes about 4 hours to take the intake manifold, fuel injection and some cooling parts off just to get to the starter. It is not impossible and I did it and save about 600.00 in mechanics fees

The left (drivers) side cylinder head is numbered from front (radiator)

The right (passenger) side cylinder head is numbered from front

per 2001 Toyota repair manual page EM-103 and 105. The numbers are not on the engine, from what I can see, but the manual is very specific on this info.

On my '02 tundra the oxygen sensor(bank1 sensor 1) needs replacing. is it difficult, and what does it look like. my understanding is that it is licated underneath near exhaust.

oxygen sensors are on the exhaust. its just a small sensor with 1 or 3 wires. bank one meens left. if its a v6 or v8. but 4 cyl engines only have one bank ,. sensor 1 meens its before the catylitic converter. sometimes right by the engine manifold and sometimes way under. just follow the pipe from the engine to the cat and u will find it. if u can get it out the new one is easy. the problem is they usualy rust in tight. they make a special socket just for them. try some PB Blaster its no joke the suff makes WD40 look like cooking
