Heated rear window, rear window washer & fog lights not working on 2006 BMW E61 525d sport

I had similar problem and it sounds like a short, and a fuse is blown. Check your rubber wire housing at upper corners of rear hatch, in cold weather the rubber gets hard and comes away from hatch frame, and hard to notice, but what happens is wires rub on metal opening and short out. It took a couple fuses to figure out a short had to be problem, and sure enough, the hot lead was being grounded, so taped it up, reseated the rubber junction which is suppose to prevent shorts, should be obvious to check as mine was easy to see problem, seems pass side is trouble for some reason as I have helped others, and always the same side.

The dash board light which shows that either the doors are open or the boot is open is going on with a something like a lamp behind. what does this mean

One of those bulbs that come on(courtesy lights) is blown or is drawing less current in the circuit through excess resistance (check for either blown or dull bulbs!)

Hatch problem

Something has probably fallen apart inside. You'll have to take it apart from inside, and see what the problem is. Usually something pretty simple. Once you get it apart, you'll be able to open it by turning the little rod, or bar, with a pair of pliers, or stick a flat screwdrivewr in the hole and turn it.

simply open the boot & remove the blown bulb & replace with a new one. the bulb is just a half turn holding in there so turn it anticlockwise & it should pop out.
