How do i stop noisy emmision pump in 1987 cadilliac eldorado 4.1 engine?

If the pump itself is noisy; it can be taken apart, clean and rebuilt. Replacement pumps are not all that costly, though.

Toyota repair

check for a loose electrical connection or a faulty stop solenoid on the pump or injector controls if common rail . It sound that the stop control has an intermittent continuity problem ( broken wire-dirty connection---bad earth site etc)

97 Tahoe hesitates and sometimes acts like it will stall when accelerating. Stalls when coming to a stop.

even if you hear pump run, dosent mean it has enough pressure. it is very possible this is the problem. could be engine miss as well. does it jerk when accellerating (light load, like in overdrive up a hill?) let me know.

When i stop for a couple minutes my taurus might not start,if i wait 15min. it starts and runs fine.can fuel pumps get weak or do they just stop working.

check your fuel pump relay. when the pump itself goes out they typically just go out. but the relay can cause intermittent issues

2002 gmc truck water pump making noise how to stop noise

Gday mate, geoff here, could be the belt mate, try a bit wd40 / rp7 / crc, on the belt just a quick squirt or rub some soap on the V of the belt ,if noise persists could be the pump itself worn, does it have any lateral or dynamic play when wiggled, while engine off of course, hope this helps , geoff.

Hi i have a 90 chev Blazer have no power to the pump replaced pump ,relay ,madual, checked fuses, put gas in carb will start, turn key on cant hear pump

If all the parts you replaced are known to be good, then you will need to get a voltage meter and start checkin where the power stops at. Check both sides of the fuse to make sure your getting power to the fuse and to make sure it is good, the on to the relay, if it clicks when the key is turned on then it is good or on some models you can swap the horn relay to double check to make sure it is good, if your relay is clicking then check the wiring to the pump itself and locate where the voltage stops. You might very well have break in the wire to the pump or a bad ground on the pump itself.

We have a 7/99 GMC Jimmy in and it acts like a fuel cut off switch has popped. it cranks but no bueno. I can press the deactivate button on the alarm pad and the flashing "security" lights stops...

There is no reset switch for the fuel pump in this vehicle according to the stuff I am finding. There is a relay located in the power distribution box under the hood. You will need to test that, if it is working then the problem, assuming it is the fuel pump not powering up, is most likely the fuel pump itself. From what I am seeing these vehicles have a history of fuel pump problems from the Anti Rollover cutoff and accident safety switch built into the pump itself.

Power steering keeps going stiff all the time

There are 2 things that cause power steering to go stiff. The power steering pump itself either from failure or "lack of fluid" and the rack and pinion assy under the car.
Most of the time the failure is the power steering pump itself. The teflon rollers fail inside the pump and it either stops providing an output pressure or it seizes up. You can loosen the power steering pump belt then try to rotate the pump by hand. It should move by hand. If it feels like it is intermittently locking up as you rotate, it the teflon rollers have failed and the pump will need to be replaced.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Waterpump leaks

Maybe. You could put an additive in, at the radiator cap, but there is no saying it will stop the leak. Are you sure it's the gasket and not the water pump itself. It has abuilt in leak to let you know it's wearing out. Check under the water pump and see if your coolant is coming out of the small hole on the bottom of the pump. If it is change the pump.
