The ignition points in GM Delco distributors are adjustable while the vehicle is running. Although I have not found any specific point gap stated for your 429 ci engine, the instructions say to turn the adjusting screw clockwise until the engine starts to misfire, then back out a half turn (footnote 5). The most accurate way to set the point gap is to use a dwell meter to set the dwell angle at 30. I recall mine was fairly inexpensive (about 35 years ago), but I don't know if they are even available these days.

Automatic ?? You should be able to unlock the doors from the inside and open them. If someone set the child safety locks you may have to remove the door panels and unlock from the inside of the doors.

easier way: 3M has a spray contact cement for this that has a very small extension tube that you poke thru fabric and spray, work from center outward for best results

Check the ground from motor to frame and ground wire from battery to body. These sometimes become corroded and will give intermittent problems.

Ive been told that gm can cut a key using the information in your vin number. I wouldnt know if gm would still have records from 1963 to help them cut a key but it would be worth a try.

change fuel filter and check fuel pressure.sound like low fuel pressure problems.

had the same problem with mine but found out it was the key if its not the origanol or the chip is made wrong it will do that
