My echo stoped working how do i get it to work again

There was a recall done on those vehicles in 2008 for the same issues. Something about a clock spring. If the recall work has not been done on your SUV, bring it to a dealer.

the turn switch under the steering wheel on the end of the stalk may be dirty or corroded and not making proper contact at the points.

problem with the purge canister it's under the car on the rear that is connected to the filling hoses big problem with those cars. i just installed a new tank new hoses but put a second hand purge unit and my 2005 echo is spitting back and hard to fill. good luck

Ok if your air conditioning system has lost the freon leak and the compressor does not start even if you have well I recommend the fuses check if you have full charge of freon in the system and then wanted another cause. Thanks

check fuses and relays then connection under seat for power may also be loose or disconnected

Yes, vitz 2006 got idle engine stopping system.
I got the same model and was told by my mechanic that these car have that system installed.
Also you can notice yourself that when you are reducing the speed while turning or stopping, you can feel the engine going to die. i mean idling it self.

I assume that the 7.5 amp fuse blew again, yes? If so, it looks like you may have a locked up A/C compresser, or too much freon in the system (if somebody tried to add some to make the A/C come on). If the compressor is locking up, the engine will turn slow, at least until the drive belt or the fuse fails.
