Replace the pressure regulator. It's on the fuel rail with a vacuum hose going to it.

I have a bmw318i e36and the aircon has stoped workingthe gas is alright

have the ac tested by an accredited ac specialist as as the pressure has to be correct to make the system work. The relay is probably controlled by a low pressure and a high pressure switch in the system to protect parts from destruction and by by passing it you may contribute to early preventable failure.

Acording with 1984 PONTIAC PARISIENNE 5.0L 4BL OHV 8CYL - REPAIR GUIDE, This system incorporates a bleed in the pressure regulator which automatically relieves pressure any time the engine is turned off, but a small amount of fuel may be released when the fuel line is disconnected.

To reduce the chance of personal injury, cover the fuel line with a shop cloth to collect the fuel, and then place the cloth in an approved container.

The Fuel Filter is located under hood, center, upper engine area, mounted in fuel inlet line connected to carburetor.

1984 Volvo will not start - I have spark and fuel to the cylinders. It just cranks and cranks and floods the cylinders. I am a bit of a "back yard mechanic" and have tried everything I can think...

you probably have weak spark or it is flooding due to too high fuel pressure. is the timing good the firing order correct has the cam belt timing slipped, missing teeth. is the cold start injector open all the time.

No fuel to injectors, car has sat for long time without fuel. has fire but apparently no fuel pressure

have you checked the fuel pressure? There is a test port on the fuel rail (looks like a valve stem) you can use a small screwdriver to depress the valve and fuel should come out (be carefull it will be under pressure, make sure that there is no hot items close) ever if fuel does come out you may still need a pump if the pressure isn't high enough.

I have a 1984 crown vic and the TB loads up like a stuck float in a carb, How do I repair this?

Rebuild the tbi,it has a fuel pressure regulator in it,and it is not controlling the fuel flow.Most all the fuel is being dumped into the tbi.If this was helpful,please rate,and thank you.

Check your fuel pump,it sounds as if you have excessive fuel pressure.

hi if thats the case it is afuel problem

# replace fuel filter
# remove fuel from pump the one that goes back to the pump remove fuel cap blow threw with compressed air to make sure there is no blockages
# if u can get a fuel pressure gauge check fuel pressure it should be about 4-6 psi
# on the carby fuel where it connects to the carby there should be a bolt take it of and from memory there is a little screen filter check if its blocked and clean blow air into the carby fuel inlet
# on the bottom of carby body midway is 2 nuts facing down one has the main jey in it when u take this off all the fuel should come out of the carby place air nozzle in hole and hit it with high pressure to clear

High fuel consumption

The fuel pressure regulator or the Mass Airflow sensor are common problems with the 240, and will cause these symptoms.
