How to reset oil light to 100%


Look in your owners manual

If you have buttons on the dash, push the status button
& watch the dash until the oil light comes up, then
hit the reset button once, then hold it

That is just a gadget & has no ties to the vehicles compute,
as far as doing anything,you can forget it if you like

I have a 2004 Lincoln L/S, if I waited until it got to zero I
would be driving for a year & have 10,000 miles on the oil,
so it isn't of much value.

Pulled radio to get serial # and now I can't get the radio to go into code input mode. it just says "safe" and the icon for pause is on


If you've entered a bad code a couple times, you need to wait an hour while the radio and ignition are on. Then, turn on the radio, SAFE should be displayed. Then Press the FM1 button and hold it down, then while holding down the FM1 button, press and hold the AM buttons so that both buttons are held down simultaneously. Release the buttons. Now enter the correct code using the radio pre-set station buttons (one through 4). Button 1 changes the first digit in the code "1"000, Button "two" changes the second digit in the code 1"0" "three" 00, button changes the third digit, button 4 changes the last digit in the code. In most cases the first digit is a 1 and won't need to be changed. You push each pre-set station button multiple times to step through the digits (1-9) to get the correct code displayed.
Code 1246 would entered by pushing button "2" two times, pushing button 3 four times, and pushing button 4, six times.

After entering the correct security code, push and hold down the FM1 and AM button simultaneously as before until SAFE is displayed, then release the 2 buttons, and now the radio should now work.

Try this:



With key off, hold down Minute button and while continuing to hold minute button, turn on key and push and hold Hour button till display changes.


Release buttons and cycle key to check.

How do I reset the " change oil soon " light on dash?


RESET PROCEDURE
  1. Change the engine oil and filter. If your car is not equipped with a Driver Information System, then locate the reset button under the right side of the instrument panel and depress it to reset the light.
  2. If your car is equipped with a Driver Information System, then place the ignition switch to the Accessory or Run position. Push the 'oil' button on the Driver Information Center panel to display the oil message.
  3. Push the 'oil' and 'reset' buttons simultaneously for 5-10 seconds.
  4. The display should now read 'oil life 100%'. Repeat if necessary.
  5. Do not attempt to intentionally trick or accidentally reset this system as this will only hurt you in the long run. The system cannot be set to any other value except 100%.

pudh the 2 tabs in on eather side of the radio pull ,Call the dealer give them the radio part number .you got the code .

If you just received your vehicle and have not trained any of the buttons in HomeLink before, you should erase any previously learned codes before training the first button. To do this, press and hold the two
outside buttons on the HomeLink Transceiver for about 20 seconds, or
until the red indicator flashes.
Release the buttons, then go to step 1.
If you are training the second or third buttons, go directly to step 1.

1. Unplug the garage door opener motor from the electrical outlet.
2. Hold the end of the garage door opener remote 2 to 5 inches from HomeLink. Make sure you are not blocking your view of the red indicator in HomeLink.
3. Press and hold the remote transmitter button and one of the HomeLink buttons at the same time.
If the red indicator in HomeLink begins to flash slowly at first, then rapidly, release both buttons, and go to step 5. If the red indictor in HomeLink continues to flash slowly (does not flash rapidly), your remote transmitter may stop transmitting after a short time. Go to step 4.
4. Press and hold the remote transmitter button and one of the HomeLink buttons at the same
time. While continuing to hold the HomeLink button, press and release the remote transmitter button every 2 seconds. If the red indicator in HomeLink begins to flash slowly at first, then rapidly, release both buttons, and go to step 5. If the red indicator in HomeLink continues to flash slowly (does not begin to flash rapidly), repeat steps 2 thru 4.
5. Plug in the garage door opener motor, then test the HomeLink button by pushing it for about 1
second. If the button works, programming is complete. If the button does not work go to step 6.
6. Push and hold the HomeLink button for a few seconds, then watch the red indicator on HomeLink.
If the indicator stays on or flashes slowly, repeat steps 2 thru 5. If the indicator flashes rapidly
for 2 seconds then stays on, you have a rolling code transmitter. Go “Training with a Rolling Code System”
7. two HomeLink buttons to operate any other compatible remotely controlled devices around your
home (lighting, automatic gate, security system, etc.).

Radio scans through stations, can't push any buttons


Pull the radio fuse for at least 30 seconds and then plug it back in and see what that does

hold the down arrow key down on the radio then the hour should change use the down button for hours and the up button for minutes.

A/C & Heater buttons


i had exactly the same problem and i solve it 3 days ago. the buttons were not responding. what you need to do is to open the front panel (not so easy job. take out the radio first and then the aircon/clima board. you will need extra care not to lose the small parts) and you will see under the buttons some metal contacts paired with some plastic joints that are not any more in the correct position: your buttons are not returning in the upper position.
The small metal parts under the buttons should push back the plastic joints but yours are not doing the job anymore.
Make sure that all the sides of the small metal "v" shape springs are under the plastic joints. Put everything back and should work.
Before mounting everything back you can test the PCB by connecting the contacts manually. You should see the status of the leds lights changing. If the PCB is working then you will be 100% sure that the reason are the buttons.

I need also help to find the A/C electrical scheme for an bmw 1996 E39 auto climatronic. Thanks.
