1997 honda accord heating and defrost stopped working and doors unlock itself Not the fuses Please help

You have two problem. The heating and defrost if the blower won't come on problem most likely is either blower motor or control panel. The door locks problem is with the electronic locking system. For some reason the system is getting the unlock command. Try deactaviting the auto lock. Could also be the unlock button on key fob is stuck

2002 Ford Taurus has no heat. Water pump, thermostat, blower motor, the blend door and actuator are all OK. Both heater core hoses are hot. Clamped bypass hose shut. no heat, car did not over heat.Ac does...

Well the default setting for the a/c is defrost, and I might be mistaken on this but I think that bypasses the heater core from the blower motor to the defrost vents. Could there be another door in the heater case, I guess is what I'm trying to ask. Something in there left over from the old a/c days?

You hear the blower motor on fast and furious? Any chance the fan blade assembly came loose on the motor shaft?
If the doors are vacuum operated, a hand vacuum pump might help you. Also check if the switching controls for the vacuum signals are not linked to the unplugged a/c wires.

How do you turn on the heated mirrors

They are suppose to be automatic on the cars I know about. When the temperature drops to freezing, the heaters start working.

Blower work fine but still dont get no heat or defrosters could use some help thank you

It sounds like your heater controls are not working. They are usually operated by a vacume line. check under dash passenger side behind glove box for the vacume line disconected ps check engine side first its easier. if vacume line is good chech vacum at heater box their is a meatel vacume unit that opens and closes the heat and defrost doors. if your heat is only comeing out of the defrosters The doors under the dash are not opening and closeing. ChecK the metal vacume unit . A vacume pump can be purshed at parts store some have a loner program.

Defroster does not work. Only A/C/Heat from front vents, even when set to defrost. Suspected panel/defrost Door Bend Actuator. Any suggestions?

Yes, it sounds like a blend door actuator problem.

By Jeff Frank First you have to remove the glove box to gain access to the plenum. Next, remove the actuator from the box. The actuator is a flat white box that sits on 4 clip posts on the top-left of the plenum. It has a wire harness coming out of it. To remove it take a flat screw driver and pry up the front first then put the screw driver under and towards the back to pop up the back. You will see a white pin coming out of the bottom of the actuator. The pin is "D" shaped. Turn the ignition on and move the heat control and you should see the pin rotate. If not, the actuator is bad or the terminals are corroded. If it does move, set the control to full heat and turn the blower on high. This will force the blend door into the heat position (it is very important to do this).
Take a small dentist mirror and a flashlight and look into the top of the box where the actuator pin goes in. You should see that the chamber is half missing. It should look like the drawing below:
1-1.gif I think they all break in the same spot. Mine was in the position as the one above. Remember you are looking through a mirror so it is a little difficult to determine the exact position. If yours looks like mine did drill your actuator pin in the same place I did. If not, try and gauge where yours will need to go. I had to drill mine four times before I got the right position. I drilled mine with a very small drill bit. If you are looking at the pin from it's bottom, this is where it should be drilled: (drill about 1/2 inch from the bottom)
1-2.gif After drilling the actuator pin hole, you will need something to put through it. I used an old drill bit that was the same size as the hole. Just cut it to length (you will want a little more than 1/8th inch on either side of the pin). Put the rod through the pin (it should be snug so that it doesn't fall out). Then try snapping the actuator back on the box. If the pin won't go in fully the rod might be in the wrong place. Try turning the blower on high again to make sure the door didn't move and try again. If it still won't go in you will have to re-drill the hole. If it does go in, try the heat controls. If they work, congratualtions! Now take the actuator back out and glue the rod in place and put the actuator back on. You just saved yourself $1000. If only the cold or heat works, then either the rod is in the wrong position and will need to be re-drilled, or the door itself is also broken.

How can i tell if my 2001 ford sport trac has a power or power heated passenger door mirror

If moisture (frost/fog/water after car wash) rapidly disappears from the mirrors when you turn on the rear defroster, then they are probably heated. They don't always label these things. My Chrysler Concorde lxi has heated mirrors, but there is nothing written on them to indicate this. I know they're heated because car ordered from factory with them. Hope this helps.

Wiring up the heater elements on the electric door mirrors.

Hi,
I have a Mazda 6 Estate - I've just had the glass out of my mirror this evening, because my mirror heater is not working - there was a bunch of wires into the mirror unit - two of which went to spade connections on the back of the mirror.
The glass itself is on a plastic mount. The mount and the glass should just lever/pull out - that's what I did with mine - I was worried it was going to break though, it took substantial force! Once out I could see a plastic rectangle with rounded corners that it had been clipped onto. It clipped back into place with out any difficulty (on mine there is a wire guide behind the glass - just make sure that you haven't bent it upon removal - I had, but the pliers straightened it again).
