Question about Jeep Patriot
The battery is fine, I can roll down the windows, turn on lights, honk the horn, but it wont start. The security light on the dashboard is blinking when I try to start it, but I have the right key and it has started before.

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Do not
start the engine.
2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal, slowly, three times
within 10 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF/LOCK position.
NOTE: If the indicator message illuminates when you
start the vehicle, the oil change indicator system did not
reset. If necessary repeat this procedure.
Good luck on resetting the change oil light.
That was a new one for me and found the solution in the .pdf file
located on the owners section of the jeep.com website for the 2009 Jeep Patriot.
