That sounds more like a failing alternator than a bad batter. If you have an autozone nearby I believe they can test your alternator for free and then you'll know if you need to replace the alternator or not.

2011 Toyota Avensis Strata Diesel Battery Light staying on.What causes this?

Battery light is (more accurately) also named charging light or generator light.
One side of the light is connected to the battery via the ignition switch and the other is connected to the alternator. When the ignition is switched on, one side of the light is at battery voltage and the other side at 0 volts and so the light illuminates but when the engine starts and the alternator produces a full output both sides of the light is at the same voltage and so no current flows and the light is extinguished.

Assuming there are no wiring or connection problems your alternator isn't producing a charge. Perhaps you didn't need a new battery...

I have purchased a brand new battery, alternator, cylanoid, voltage regulator and starter for my 1984 ford f250 pickup, and the battery will not hold a charge

It sounds to me like something is drawing battery power after the ignition switch is turned off. You can determine this by disconnecting the positive battery cable from the battery. Now connect a regular DC test light from the positive terminal of the battery to the cable that you have just removed. If the test light illuminates, you know that something is staying on. Now, with the test light still connected, remove each fuse in the vehicles fuse panel, one at a time, until the light goes off. (there may be more than one fuse panel, check the owners manual) When it does go off, you have just identified the circuit that is staying active. Keep in mind that some vehicles have circuits that stay active for a short time after the ignition has been turned off. E.g. radio memory, dash clock, headlights or dome lights that go off after a certain time. These can cause the test light to illuminate also.

does the anti-lock brake light come on too? and ive found the best way to reset codes manually is disconnect the battery terminals pos. and ground. then touch them together( the battery cable terminals) their is a copasitor that will store enough power to hold your codes in the ecm. this way you are essentially grounding the system to drain all residual power stores

My security light stays on in my car

If it stays on and the car starts you are in bypass mode.
Some times remote starting alarms have a switch under the console to put a car in this bypass mode.

If not pull the battery for 5 min. and relearn your key.

If still no luck you are me and you got a code in a BCM or PCM.

Just from changing a battery.....Love GM....well in the 60s maybe

Airbag light on instrument panel flashes then stays illuminated

Some vehicles you can disconnect the battery for 10-20 mins and it usually resets a check engine light. But the airbag light is different. This means there is something wrong with the airbag system and it will not go out until maintenance.
