My first thought would be if you checked the timing . bring the no. 1 cylinder to top dead center and see if the rotor for that cylinder is properly located. if not , the timing chain may have moved , considering the mileage you may have. have you checked for compression. check the basic stuff first. you didnt say how many miles were on the engine ??

I have an 89 ford f-150 cranks wont start got fire, timing is right, fuel pump is pumping

Hi,
Since you're sure that you are getting gas and fire and timing is right... (also check firing order), has anything been done recently that could help you locate the problem? Such as removed distributor (could be 180 degrees out)? New plug wires (maybe crossed)?
All else I could recommend is checking cylinder compression (In case the valves are the problem)... The engine timing chain could need replacing...
Hope this helps... Good luck!
