I have a ford falcon MKII, there are times wherein my steering wheel is shaking left and right really hard when I'm driving. After a minute or 2, it will disappear. Is it ABS, brake or what?

I would check the steering ball joints for wear and replace as necessary
from your description it sounds like castor wobble so have the front end suspension checked and then have a wheel alignment done
check wheel bearing condition and adjustment

1999 ford contour shutters at 60 mph

Check tire balance, outer tie rod ends, inner tie rod ends, ball joints, CV joint bolt torque at hub, and control arm bushings. You will find your problem some where in this line up. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

Grinding or creaking in 2008 ford fusion front end

Mr.Mangus have you checked at all your front suspension struts, shock absorbers,or lower wishbones with bushing and ball joints? I had recently a diesel ford focus 2007 with similar case and both front wishbones were replaced due to ball joints and bushes and then sent for steering alignment. Vehicle drive excellent. Please check.

I have a 2001 Ford Taurus Le... When pulling off or making any turns the car just shakes and you hear and feel it... Wondering what this can be

Hi, their are a couple of posibilities. Your info is limited on the specific sounds that are difficult to put into written words. Overall it sounds like some front end suspension wear. I would jack it up and support the frame with jacks or stands in order to visually inspect the front suspension. Check for worn or missing bushings, anything that looks broken. Check the drive shafts that come from the transmission to the wheel spindles. Pretty much what you see on oneside should mirror the opposite side. Could be seperated tires? Could be broke ball joint? Could be swaybar broke or bushings need to be replaced? Try locating some of these landmarks that pertain to the front end of the car, good luck.

I already replaced tire rod ends but still it's something like my car is rocking the boat

Possible causes:
out of balance/bent wheel/tire out of round
damaged or severely worn suspension components/frame
steering stabilizer (like a horizontal shock absorber) if applicable
steering box or rack needs replacement
front end alignment
worn ball joints/ macphereson strut assembly
-these areas are where you should start and eliminate possible causes

1999 Ford Contour. Front wheels binding when

Check your Control arm bushings and or your ball joints. The bushings are known to wear out easily and the replacement control arm with ball joint included is only around $150.00. You can check the control arm by putting vehicle on jack stands and with a pry bar pry between the frame and control arm. If there is excessive movement then replacement is required, also when the car is in this position try to pivot your wheel top and bottom(in and out) and this checks the ball joint.

How to change lower ball joints

part of lower arm assembly only.

Installation
  1. Inspect lower ball joint boots and seals for damage and replace if required. Lower ball joint and seal is part of front suspension lower arm and must be replaced as an assembly.
  1. NOTE: Do not tighten the front suspension lower arm bolts and nuts to the specified torque until the end of assembly. Install nuts and tighten until snug.

Position the front suspension lower arm in the front crossmember. Install the bolts. Install the nuts and tighten until snug.
  1. Install torsion bar. Refer to Torsion Bar in this section.
  1. Raise the front suspension lower arm to allow installation of front suspension lower arm ball joint into spindle bore.
  1. Lower front suspension lower arm with a jack while making sure lower ball joint is seated in spindle bore. Install the lower ball joint attaching nut and tighten to 113-153 Nm (82-113 lb-ft). Install a new cotter pin.
  1. Raise vehicle. Position the front shock absorber and install the nut/washer/bushing assembly. Tighten nut to 40-55 Nm (30-40 lb-ft).
  1. Install the two nuts attaching the front shock absorber to the lower control arm and tighten to 21-29 Nm (15-21 lb-ft).
  1. NOTE: Front suspension lower arms must be in the horizontal or curb position (vehicle on the ground) when tightening the front stabilizer bar link bolts. Use jackstands to raise the front suspension lower arms to the horizontal position or lower the vehicle to the ground (curb position).

Lower the vehicle to the ground.
  1. Connect the stabilizer bar link bolt to the front suspension lower arm and tighten to 13-17 Nm (10-13 lb-ft).
  1. Tighten nuts and front suspension lower arm bolts to the No. 1 crossmember to 150-200 Nm (111-148 lb-ft).
  1. Check ride height and align as necessary. Refer to Section 04-00 .
  1. Lower the vehicle.

My 2003 ford tauras shakes so bad on highway

I would have that front end checked as soon as possible. It could be anything, ball joints, tie rod ends, cv joints, could be the rack and pinion steering. If any one of these things break, you will loose your steering.
