So we find it is hex.
and not torx
and is not 12 and not 10
but is 11.
its 11mm allen hex.
i just did mine but my sets are complete and had no issues, but I do know the cheaper sets skip sizes.

    these, #2
    fits 2011 too.
    Mercedes-Benz ML350
here off the 2011 dodge forum
google finds this is 1 seconds
knowing it fits above, we know its not fractional in EUROPE, ever. not 7/16s

" the front calipers are 11mm, the 7/16 would not fit." used on 2011 Durango

    11mm it is.

    btw 2,
rockauto shows this part and all cars it fits.
this makes it easier to know what it might be
and for sure not imperial sizes. (INCHES)

What size allen wrench do I need to remove the front brake calipers

I'm not sure of the size. I have an allen socket made for GM brake calipers!! But i would guess it is a metric size, maybe a 12 mm. Call an auto parts store and they can pull the tool and tell you with a phone call. Good luck.

What size is the axle nut on a 97 jeep grand cherokee 4X4 5.2? Also what size are the E-torx on the back side of the hub?

my socket set goes to 1-1/4": and 36mm.
my e-torx kit has all sizes, one can need.
with no sets. you must measure them. it's not covered in the FSM.
only 175ft/lbs on the axle nut and need for a torque wrench that big.
kit 1:

the better question is ,is the axle nut SAE or metric.
most real Chrysler built are metric.
so that big nut, at that torque needs 1/2' drive
and the torque wrench to match.
id bet this covers that

you could off the hub cap and measure the nut, with a metric rule.
the external torx same. with a caliper measure the head.
then use the e-torx table to mach it.
bet the first ever to post that. its rare to ask.
most folks just have the 2 sets. ( a life time investment if ever there was)
here is the table i uses, if ever

good luck working with only 2 bits.

I am changing disc brake pads on 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Where are the bolts holding the caliper and what size socket is needed?

They may not be bolts, might be the allen wrench type, on the back side of the calipars, one on top and one on the bottom. Not sure what size.

What is your question? You have metric tools. Are you missing a size ? Which nut? Caliper mount or brake hose. Or torx fitting?

Removing calipers from a 1997 T-Bird..

Those bolts should be allen head bolts and NOT torx (star shaped). With a torx bit in that hole all u will do is mess up a torx bit and the flats for the allen wrenches to grab onto. Try using a 10 or 12 mm( cant remeber which it is) allen head wrench.
