Question about 2004 Porsche Cayenne
On my porsches it was also time for an oil change regardless of how recent I did it if it was clicking.

Most vehicles including Porshe V8 have hydraulic valve lifters, only early 911's had mechanical lifters as I recall, was a pain to adjust every 20K or so. If you are hearing a tap, it is probably stuck valve lifter, try Lucas Oil Additive to unplug it and free it up.
