Is a 4.7 ford engine a 289 ci and can i put one inplace of a 5.4L 2003 f150 ?

its not that easy here are some of the things u need to know

* solid or hyd cam
* roller or flat tappet
* valve installed hieght
* rocker ratio
* cam lift

this is just a few things go to a head shop and they will choose the right ones

should be between the exhaust ports on the cylinder head, or int he intake manifold on the front of the engine near thermostat

if its look the same then it will work ,dont worry about gear ratios and all the technical stuff so long as the electronic stuff lines up away you go and it dont fit then make it fit

I have a 2003 Ford F-150 with no air conditioner. Can I install an after-market air conditioner or a factory air conditioner from a wrecked truck. Like a roll-over>??


Yes their should be also an open fuse also for your A/C.I would also install the heater control unit as well.......Hope this helps.

Check your fuel pump or even your air intake could or might be loose or your putting cheap gas in your vehicle.
If your truck has a V8 I would suggest using 91 octane at Chevron or a Texaco.

prob. the heater core located under the dash the lines go thru the firewall to the engine. on a '98 you gotta take alot of stuff off to get to it air bag, dash etc. alot of time but the parts arent too much $$

Probably just a Light to be honest, in 68 you are lucky to get that. probably just a single black or yellow wire running under the dash, to the thermostat and sensor

2003 Ford F150 SuperCrew. I get an infrequent humming tone from under the hood like my brake vacuum is sucking air. It happens at slow speed.


I have a Ford F150 2001 4.6 engine. I had a humming noise at low speed that had me trying ever thing I could. If you put your hand on the throttle control you could feel the hum or vibration. It has been a while but I think I finally found it by replacing the " Idle Air Control Valve ", no more problems.
