You need to have the 4X4 system scanned. Have them check that leak also.

Do you think it will be ok to drive as long as I keep it in 2 wheel drive?

Sure. Your problem is electrical, not mechanical. I would try to find that leak though.

My 2010 F150 2 wheeldrive automatic is not shifting at startup not every time but getting more frequent

You must let the car warm up to operating temperature then get the vehicle on level ground and check the transmission fluid it might be low and if it is fill it with the proper fluid and then see what happens if it is not rose pink in color and is brown looking you should change it and keep an eye on it looking for a leak and also if the vehicle is running poorly / hot or low antifreeze and slipping when trying to accelerate

At idle and the vehicle in nuetral check your transmission fluid level. If it is low your will need to add ford only transmission fluid which will come in a variety of manufactures. Don't use the multi vehicle fluid. You will then need to see where it is leaking from. If the fluid level is good look at the color of the fluid on the stick. if it is brown that means it is burnt and probably need a transmission.

I have a 2004 F150 4X4 and the Tansmission Fault warning came on the other day

Have you checked to see if there is correct fluid in the transmission? Have you noticed any leaks? If so, what part of the transmission?

I have a 1997 F150 4X4. The front axle won't enage

I also have a 97 F-150 4x4. If that was my truck I first would change the fluid in the transfer case. See if that helps loosen it up. It is possible that it has the wrong fluid in it.

ABS light came on as well as check engine light

There are sensor's in all the wheel and one sensor could be bad or may need to be re-adjusted if it was knocked out of alignment. Good luck and as for the check engine light, that could be something different.

Need to turn an 85' ford F150 4x2 into a 4x4

The best and easiest, and Probably the cheapest way is to find an old beat up 82-89 f150 that is 4x4 usually can be found cheap without motor or lots of body damage, reason for this is that you will need to buy a front end differential, as well as the driveline and transfercase, different transmission and possibly a shorter rear driveline, but if you buy the beat up non running 4x4 you can simply put your body and motor on the 4x4 frame and be done, I have done several this way and works very well, also much faster, easier and cheaper....
