You can't, unless you have the right scanner. BCM's are one time only programming.

I have 2008 chevy express, the turn signals flash fast, but not able to find a flasher unit. I have checked grounds, bulbs and fuses, all are good

The BCM - body control module controls turn signals . There is no flasher unit . Your best bet would be to take your vehicle to the dealer !
Turn Signal Lamps
The BCM 3, BCM 5, and BCM 6 fuses located in the underhood fuse block supply battery voltage to the body control module (BCM) for turn signal, hazard lamp, and stop lamp operation. Voltage from the BCM 5 fuse used for the front and rear left turn signals, voltage from the BCM 3 for the right front turn signal, while voltage from the BCM 6 fuse is used for the right rear turn signal. When the turn signal switch is place in either the LEFT or RIGHT position, ground from G303 is applied through the turn signal switch signal circuit to the BCM indicating the turn signal request. In response to this signal, the BCM applies a pulsating voltage to the front and rear turn signal lamps supply voltage circuits cycling the lamps ON and OFF. The BCM also sends a message via GMLAN to the instrument panel cluster (IPC) to cycle the turn signal indicator ON and OFF depending on the position of the turn signal switch.

Ignition ON, observe the scan tool Left Turn Signal Switch parameter while using the turn signal/multifunction switch to turn the left turn signal ON and OFF. The reading should change between Active and Inactive.

Where is the location for the relay turn signal 2007 cobalt

You won't find it because........there isn't one. The BCM (body control module) controls the flash. If you have no sound it could be a defective speaker.

How to reset bcm on 04 avalanche after replacing with used?

You will have to have a dealer flash the BCM. If the BCM didn't have the same Vin identification code, the used one will not operate correctly. Each truck has its own unique Flash program

Body Control Module

some bcm let u flash or relearn by turning key on and let it sit for 10 minutes or longer ---but the g6 needs to be hooked up to flash dealers or most service stations have the computer soft ware to do it check though with a dealer about it but really sure your unit needs to be hooked up to flash it

I need a new BCM but don't know the part number.

Hi, it is best to get these at a salvage yard. They will know which one fits your car, and the price is much better. The BCM rarely fails, so a used one is quite reliable. There is also a used on on ebay here:
This post includes an ID number that you can check against your BCM: ID# 10293828

A/c control panel lights flashing

The lights flashing indicate a problem that needs to be serviced. If there is refrigerant still in the system and up to proper level, the next very likely cause is the BCM (body control computer). Chrysler is very bad about these and this is not an uncommon issue. If it is determined to be the BCM, check the local salvage yards. They will likely have one. Make sure all the numbers match or it may make some things work and others not especially if you have all the options. The BCM is the unit that is also used house all of your fuses under the dashboard either through an axcess door on the driver's side of the dash or under and to the left of the steering column. At a salvage yard, they are usually around $75 - $125 so not too bad relatively. Let me know if you need further instructions.

What is the difference between an ECM and a BCM? Does a BCM have to be flashed?

The ECM (Electronic control module) runs the engine and the emission control system, the BCM (Body control module) operates most electrical body functions like wipers and interior lights and power windows and door locks plus the security system in may cases, the ECM (on this car now known as the PCM since 1996 by federal mandate) can be flashed, which just a reprogramming of the EPROM chip

My 96 grand Cherokee bcm screen in flashing and I dont know why

If you disconnected the battery then you'll need to reset the clock. Once the clock is set it should stop flashing. Other things that will reset the BCM and cause it to flash like that is an error such as a broken latch or faulty sensor that's tied to the BCM. Hope this helps.

Anti-theft/security light on dash doesn't flash on 2005 avalanche

Several GM products, including the Chevrolet Impala and Malibu, the Oldsmobile Alero, the Pontiac Grand Prix, and Saturn Ion, have issues with the Security light coming on. This is many times an indication of a failing Body Control Module (BCM). Initially, the Security light will come on then go off, progressing to a constant on light, before the car will refuse to start. Other symptoms may include erratic action of electronics, a clicking sound coming from the glove box, and the air conditioning failing to blow cold air. I recommend a shop that specializes in the electronic systems of vehicles to diagnosis and make the necessary repairs. They should keep the car until they replicate the symptoms described. A new BCM from GM should cost about $230; plan on another $200 for them to diagnose the problem, replace the unit, and program the new unit. The dealers quote between $700 and $1,100 for the same repair. My experience and the experiences I have read on the internet, indicate the new BCM should last only about a year.

BCM Unit in 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan

The BCM Unit had to re-learn the systems when I put another unit in. The Windshield wipers use to come on whenever they wanted to without touching the button and the air conditioning stopped working all together, but now it works like new. Everything works perfectly but the only draw back is that the odometer jumped from 94,521 miles to 120,000 miles when I installed the new BCM Unit. I know that the miles were lower but I am happy that the van is running great and everything works just as they are suppose to. I believe that the air conditioner unit did not get the right signal from the BCM and so the motor started to smoke. I ran the engine for 10 minutes and it went away. Thanks again for the advice and have a blessed day. TED
