Which is the fuse for the brake light on the ford fusion 2008?

Brake lights is controled from "brake light switch", generally, this is located on top back side brake pedal.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Will not shift out of park

will try to help. is your battery dead? are you applying the brake?it will not shift out of park until your brake lights come on. do you have a fuse blown? look under dash for fuse box, look for brake light fuse, location of the fuse may be on fuse box cover, turn upside down to see. also, it can happen, maybe brake light bulbs are both blown. it's known to happen.hope this helps, and thank you for choosing fixya.com

Yesterday my back brake lights both went out. How do I fix the problem? Thank you, Yvonne

Hello Yvonne:

1st thing to check is your Fuses, Could be that its only a Blown Brake Light Fuse.

If your Brake Light Fuse is good ,Then i would Try to put New Bulbs in and see if its That for some reason both bulbs just happen to burn out at same time.

And if still no Brake Lights you'll need to Replace your Brake light switch, which is located drivers side under dash mounted to the Brake pedal Metal part up above where you push the brake pedal.

You'll see the wiring that connects to the Swith,Just pull off the wire connector and remove the brake light switch.

Yvonne this will get your brake lights working.

Thank you for using FixYa Please let me know how my Solution helped you out by Voting ,and a Testamony would be appreciated.
Thanks Again From d_hubbs

My brake lights won't work in my AU Ford Falcon

On vehicles that use a common bulb for signal and brake lights the brake light circuit runs through the signal switch. A problem in the signal switch can cause the brake lights not to function. Also check your Emergency flasher switch. Hope this helps.

Fuse 23 in the fuse panel.

Fuse panel is located behind the kick panel on the pass side, just below the dash.

NO BRAKE LIGHTS

Fuse box next to clutch pedal (brake on automatic). There is a fuse in there for the brakes. I have the same problem but my fuse is OK.

Brake Light Fuse & Gas Gauge

Start by replacing your brake light bulbs. If it still blows the fuse, them your brake pedal switch. If it still happens then you have a shot circuit in your wiring between your fuse panel and your brake lights.
