Question about Ford Festiva
IF it's fuel injected (1990-1993 and 1989 with automatic transmission) and IF it's the original engine then yes, the valve lifters (lash adjusters) will be hydraulic.
Also if you plan on keeping this car I would HIGHLY suggest, at the very least to get a Haynes repair manual. Also I would suggest joining the group @ Fordfestiva (dot) com. LOTS of very knowledgeable people on there.
