Question about Cars & Trucks
When we accelerate up hill it makes a rattling sound, doesnt do it as much on flat road.We also have an issue with rough idling, we have change sparkplugs so we know its not that and tried different petrols.
Run the fault codes and check for problem heated oxygen sensor, cam shaft timing solenoid/servo, and ignition timing
rattling under load ( pinging or detonation) is caused by incorrect fuel /air ratio--too lean--cam shaft timing wrong or ignition timing not correct
it is detrimental to an engine and if not corrected will ( if extreme-happening all the time but not heard) will melt holes in the top of pistons
the noise may be also from a loose valve seat insert so have a compression check done on a hot engine

Testimonial: "Hi Bill. We took the car to the mechanics today, he looked at it as it got worse this morning, he changed an ignition coil(#6)and it seems to have fixed the problem, time will tell if thats what it is but so far so good."
