Question about Acura Cars & Trucks

Open Question

Can I replace a navigation system from an Acura MDX 2004 in an Acura 2006 TL.

Can I connect an Alpine 39540-S3V-A520-M1 REF NO.: BN443AH used in a 2004 Acura MDX in a 2006 Acura TL that had a 39540-SEP-A420-M1 REF NO.: BN434AD. It has only one green connector while the other one had 2 green connectors. What is the missing 5 conductor connector used for?

SOURCE: Acura MDX Navigation system is

its really easey to remove the dvd unit under the pasenger seat. just put the seat all the way forward and pull the plastic guard from the seat track (pull straight back) then unplug the harness connectors in the back of the unit.
Then put the seat all the way back and remove the 1o mm nuts on the side brackets of the unit and pull it forward.

It is behind the dash taped to the wiring harness where the radio would go is what I've found in other models.

My DVD player on a 2003 MDX doesn't seem to work and I don't know how to fix it, help!!!

Is this the Navigation system DVD? If it is you can order the load/play mechanism for it from China. This is not a hard repair to make. Cost is between $60 and &120 for the part. Alpine and the dealer will want your first born to replace it. If it is the entertainment DVD best thing is replace it with an after market one.

I have an acura MDX 2006 - fully loaded. The problem i have is that suddenly the bluetooth has stopped working. I checked with the dealer and they quoted about 1000 to replace the module. can anyone please...

Do you mean the Hands Free Link that pairs your phone with the audio system? If so, then it sounds like your HFL board has died. I have the same vehicle and the same problem. A new board costs about $200 online (part # 39770-S3V-A61ZB; there's also a 39770-S3V-A61ZA but it costs ~$80 more and as near as I can tell the only difference is that it's a different color, but since you can't see it, no sense in paying extra for that) and is located in the compartment in the ceiling just above the rearview mirror (where the two overhead lights, sunroof switch, and OnStar controls are). It's not terribly hard to pull out and replace the board yourself (there's a guy who posted a series of Youtube videos for doing it on a TL, but it's virtually the same procedure on the MDX, search for 'HFL removal and install").

I had the same problem and carefully cleaning the map DVD solved it. After years of use, a film gets built up on it. It is under the front passenger seat.
