Probably a voltage sensor locking the signal to start the car. Check the battery and charging system. Happened the other day to my wife. Battery was weak. don-ohio

Remove the lugs at the battery. Clean the posts and the lugs - then reconnect. Your battery won't charge (and the jumpers won't work) largely because of a film on the + post and lug. If you live in a hot summer area, (Arizona) the problem is especially troublesome.

SOURCE: Upgrading 2006 Mercury Milan's sound system with MP3 jack.

Even though your current radio has an AUX button the radio is not programmed to utilize it.
There is no 'easy' way to add the '07 Job 2 and later year model's factory Aux input.
You will need to buy an aftermarket solution. Something like this http://pac-audio.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=821&CategoryID=24

SOURCE: I have a 2010 mercury Milan premier I had the battery charged yesterday which got the car started and today the battery is dead again

Could be two things.

The battery is worn out. How old is it?

There is a dead short that is using up power overnight as if a light is left on. Did you check for anything being on, interior light, trunk light etc?

Charge the battery, start the car, turn the car off, start it again in an hour and turn it off. Disconnect one of the leads on the battery overnight. Reconnect the battery and see if it starts. If it does, then you have a short that is draining the battery overnight. These faults are a nightmare to find!

Mercury milan problems

I do not believe they have been failing,UNTIL you TEST them
& also take the failed ones apart, to examine the cause of
failure

You can drive from 17 to 87,some 70 years, & it would be
doubtful you would ever have a bad relay

You certainly can't come here or ask anywhere, for the answer

ALL Vehicle problems have to be FOUND (find a problem) first,
then the solution (the relays-- good or bad are NOT THE PROBLEM) common sense

What would cause a relay to fail ?

Yes-- the primary coil could fail (TEST FOR THAT)

The Power Contacts if burnt ,IF you had taken them apart ,would
point you in the direction to your SYSTEM TESTING

I think people come here expecting a guess to solve problems
& that maybe someone else had the same issue, doesn't work
that way.

When something does not work ,do you not have to find out why

WHY-- is NOT throwing parts at the unknown, not if you test
nothing, to even find a problem

The check charging light should be on if the engine is not running.
The most common cause is a bad chip in the key. Have you tried a spare key ?

Problem starting 2006 Merc Milan Premier on SOME dry, cold days - can take up to 10 minutes. Alternator is strong, 2nd new battery in 14 months. Had her hooked up and power draw is not from what wou

Not sure I am following your question.
If the engine cranks, the battery starter and alternator are working.
If you have to crank the engine for an extended period of time, it is not getting spark or fuel or both.
If it happens mainly during cold weather, and the first start of the day, I would check fuel pressure before and after you crank it.

Failure to start

Did it blow a fuse for the alternator. What is the battery voltage when it's running?
