My ford F150 won't start

Are you saying the engine will not start, or not crank ?
If it does not crank, yes the battery could be low or defective. Or it could be the starter or several other factors.
If it cranks but does not start, the battery is working.

My 1999 Kia Sportage won't start. I put a new fuel pump in replaced the car battery . Need help please...

Im dealing with a similar situation. But have found that I have no spark. By opening the end of the air intake and giving a little squirt of starter fluid and no start. Opened access to FP and pulled a hose. No fuel. So no fuel no spark. reading lots and lots of forums I have come to the conclusion it is either the Cam or the Crank sensor. The crank sensor is easier to get to and cheaper. I am going to check that first.

Won't crank

I own a 1999 chevy blazer and mine had the same problem. All the lights and everything had power, the battery and starter were brand new but it still wouldn't crank. What I had found was that the thin positive wire that is going to the solenoid of the starter looked ok but was corroted and broken on the inside of the insulation due to oil leaking onto it. I had to break it off, strip back the insulation on both ends, put heat shrink tubing onto it and solder the two ends back together. It has been working fine ever since. Double check yours and see if you have +12 Volts to that wire when the key is in crank position. You can also try to jump the solenoid and see if you can get it to crank.

I got a 1999 chevrolet tahoe. when i put the key in the ignition the head lights, and the dash light comes on but it won't even turn. i change the starter and got a new battery and it still won'

well if you have a dvom/voltmeter check the power at the starter terminals. the main terminal should have power all the time the key wire should have power only when the key is turned to crank engine. if you have power at both then i would start looking at grounds

1999 ford F150 4x4.. Starting problem, After 30 - 50 successful starts, will not crank. Jumping battery doesn't work, battery tests strong. One mechanic concludes there is a short but cannot isolate it....

Is the no crank no start after the truck has run for some time ( i..e heat ) ?

Have you checked the starter motor relay on the firewall for power on the smaller AWG wire ( there are 2 large, and 1 small, the small AWG wire is a Tan w/ Red stripe wire. This should have + VDC when the key is in the start position. If it does, the starter motor relay needs to be replaced.
If not, the DTR ( Digital Transmission Range ) sensor could be the issue, check the connector on the driver's side of the transmission to see if the connector is dirty and put all the way together.

Turn the ignition and the engine barely cranks

You could have a starter that draws too much amperage or a bad ground. Check your grounds at the battery cables and check that the battery is fully charged. You may have an alternator problem. If the battery is fully charged check the starting and charging systems and that will tell you your problem.

Intermitantly, when i turn the key on my 1999 saturn sl2, theres no engine crank, plenty of battery power, justno cranking, i let it cool of for some time and it fires right up, starter going out?

Could be a starter failing, but more likely a faulty negative battery cable or starter cable connection. Look for corrosion or looseness at the cables. On GM starters, corrosion on solenoid terminals on the starter can often cause these symptoms. On most vehicles over 10 yrs. old, replacing the neg. batt. cable will save many headaches.

Starter cranks slow

By your description I would say BATTERY. Don't know how old the battery is. The average life of a battery is about 3 years, sometimes less, sometimes more.
