If it is not found behind the passenger side kick-panel, then check under the dash, below the heater case, and behind the carpet on the passenger side. Here are diagrams to assist you.where is the inertia switch located - 6658478.jpg

Do I have to have the brain relearned after swapping out motors.

If everything on both engines were the same, no reprogramming should be required. The engine should start, and it may take a few minutes for the engine to run smoothly since there are going to be some differences in the way the "new" engine performs. I would guess that there is some connection to the engine that is loose or missing. You said it has fuel and fire. The only other thing needed is air. And unless you are in a vacuum, it should start.

Can I put a 1981 ford f-150 motor in a 1991 ford f-150 truck

Sounds to me like you opened a can of worms that you are not equipped/qualified to deal with. To begin with, doing an engine change the way you did it is illegal. It is OK to put the newer motor in the older vehicle, but it is against federal law to put the older engine into the newer vehicle. REFERENCE: EPA ENGINE SWAP FACT SHEET

With all that said, if you want to do a swap like that, it is necessary to also swap wiring harnesses and computer modules (among several other components) if you expect it to work.

My driver's side power seat works going up and down but it only moves 1" forward and backward about in the middle of the track. What could be the problem?

it is 17 years old, and like all electric motors, it is worn out. pull the seat out and take a long look at the mechanism on the bottom, then start cruising junkyards until you find one like it. buy it and swap it in, most likely any 90s ford power seat will have about the same electricals.

I cant locate the fuse for my fan to cool the engine in my 1997 chrysler concorde

Look for the Fan Relay on the engine compartment fuse box, I think is on the Driver's side by the fenderwell. To test it, swap it with the AC Relay or another one with same relay number. The Fan should come on when the niddle is about the middle OR if you turn the AC on, the fan should start inmediately.

I have an 99 Intrepid and I had to replace the fan motor last year, the motor's bearings got dry and it was a little hard to turn. With engine OFF, turn the fan by hand and see if it keep turning, if it does not turn at least once, replace motor.

Good Luck!! Don't forget to rate this post!!

I have a 1993 Honda Civic EX (2dr) which continues 2 overheat! The radiator has been replaced 3 times. The 1st time it had a hole, 2nd time it was determined that it leaked @ the seams when a pressure test...

any motor swap? have a block test done to check for the headgasket... it's possible you have warped the head with the list of cooling issues you have had.

Looking to do a motor swap in a 98 sunfire...what motors fit?

It is true, you can only put another 98 2.2 liter in it. They did come with a 2.4 liter but you have to swap the motor, transmission, wiring harness, computer, and God knows what else. I would go with the 2.2 liter and check into some performance aftermarket parts for the 2.2, computer chip, performance exhaust and so on, somewhere like Summit Racing.
