I have a hydraulic Western Plow. I just purchased it from a guy that sells used plows for Western plow, and hooked it up. It will lift, lower and turn right. When it turn right, it goes up.

Those flat looking bolt heads on the base of the motor/pump are filters replace them and the fluid as well then bleed the air out. I hope this helps, take care.
Try listening the nut at the further point from the pump. Do it slowly when you have someone gently lifting the plow, with the controller. Let the hydraulic fluid seep out until the air bubbles stop, then tighten the nut up again. You will, most likely, have to do this a few times. Good luck
It could be ice in the hydraulic system. Bring vehicle into a heated area and let thaw thoroughly. Retry plow. If it works OK flush hydraulic system and change out fluid.
I think you have a problem with the plow motor grounding out. when you raise or turn plow in either direction you have to run the plow motor which is grounded out. ( as in hooking the ground and positive together directly ) the plow is on a gravity drop when you let it down by the weight itself and does not require the motor for the plow to operate. It's your plow motor or the positive feed to selonoids.
