Those brushes in the DC motor wear out and when they do, they squeal. You are very close to having no blower motor operation. You have to replace the whole motor. They are about 100 dollars at any auto parts store.

Yea leafs and other debris can get in and cause the noise. Remove the blower, thoroughly clean the fins and reinstall. This should take care of the noise.

it is either a bad switch or window motor. finding a wiring diagram and shooting power to the correct wire will identify whether the switch or motor is faulty.

SOURCE: Blower motor makig noise like its hitting

You must remove the motor to inspect for bent squirl cage (fan) for damage .your heating issue is seperate from the could have a bad thermostat check your temp gauge if its at least half way up to 200 degrees thermostat is ok then you will have to check heater core hoses for flow in and out to make sure they are hot. if all check out look at blend air doors make sure they operate.

SOURCE: What part makes a clicking noise on the blower

Most GM vehicles have little flaps or doors to redirect the air near the blower motor. If that gets out of place or falls down it will rub on the squirrel cage of the blower fan. Some older cars have insulation in that area that might come loose and rub on the squirrel cage. The insulation sometimes is covered with a stiff paper. Cutting away the stiff paper with allow more clearance.

Honda pilot 2007 blower fan making noise blower fan was replaced once still making noise

Either its developed the same fault or the fan motor bearing has failed, needs greasing or, if there's a belt, the belt is slipping.

My heater fan was making noise but was still blowing the hot air out. Now it makes no noise but blows no air out. I assume the fan/blower motor is bad. How do I replace it?

your blower mototr stopped turning , the noise you heard was one of the cage weights came loose and put the blower cage off ballance, first you need to locate the blower fan and check to make sure it has 12 volts, if so then you need to use a jumper wire to ground the other wire going into the blower motor, if this turns the blower motor on then you have a blower motor resister out and need to replace it.

When i turn my heater on in my 97 buick park avenue it makes a very loud screeching noise is this a easy fix and what tools do i need to do the job thanks

It sounds like your blower motor may be going soon. It may be the bearings in the motor blower grinding. You cannot fix this, if this is the problem you may need a new blower.

If it still works and you can handle the noise it can last like this for a long time.

Blower fan on 1996 Buick Park Avenue sometimes makes a noise when it is running. What could be the cause of this?

Hello gtpaul: My name is Roger and i will help you. If the blower motor squalls from time to time? The problem will more than likely be the blower motor itself. The rear bushings dry out and lets the armature drop slightly. this produces the noise.Replacement of the motor should fix your problem.
Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer. This way I know if the answer helped. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger
