A engine misfire possibly . TCC - Torque Converter Clutch Automatic Transmission Torque Converter Clutch TCC Without testing it or feeling the problem it's hard to say . Check engine light on or flashing ? Suggest you take it by a repair shop and have them take it for a drive with you . Hooking up a scan tool to check misfire counts etc... Takes the guess work out of it !

Where is the fuel filter located on the 2008 Pontiac Torrent?

Two places it cold be. Most likely is under the vehicle, on the drivers side, behind the drivers door. Next could be behind the gas tank, in the center of it.

I have a 99 Pontiac grand am v6 3400. While driving I have lose of power when accelerator from 35 mph to 50 mph what would cause this

If it is up hills only then you have an underpowered engine that can not accelerate in third gear like the junky little Corolla E110 and it's Chevrolet Prizm clone 120 HP on on 2400 pound car do but a 170 HP V6 on a 3000 lb should have more power then that. In any case it is because you are in third gear and first and second gear have enough torque to accelerate properly.

It is the feature I hate the most on smaller engine cars.

Transmission lurches when lightly accelerating between 30 and 45 mph. Diagnostic computer analysis shows nothing at dealer. Any ideas? Thanks.

Shift solenoid would be my first thought but you do want to check your transmission fluid and change it every 60,000 miles or what is recommended by the manufacturer

I have a 2008 chevy equinox to which I actuall love...but recently av been having issues with hesitation at about 40 mph and 60 mph...once I take my foot off accelerator and then reapply foot to...

I wouldn't think the PCM/ECM is the problem , hesitation at about 40 mph and 60 mph.. Something in the ignition system is breaking down causing a misfire or maybe TPS - throttle position sensor , these wouldn't cost to much. The dealer should be able to find the problem . My 1995 Subaru Legacy (high miles, over 200,000) lurches forward and back when I try to accelerate from ~65 mph to a higher speed. This appears to coincide with going above 3,000 rpm. The tach also goes up...

You will need a computer to accurately read the signals you are getting from the sensors in the engine bay, but my guess is that the MAF sensor may be acting up.

When I speed up or climb a hill it seems my transmission slips but also when I am idleing my rpms are at 2 and moving constantly

ask a local mechanic to have a look as without a on the job inspection its too dificult to diagnose

No acceleration after 45/50 mph

I would investigate a clogged fuel filter or weak fuel pump. May just not be getting enough gas to go faster....

Don't forget to check the air filter. Dirty air filter will usually cause issues at lower speeds too but can't be ruled out.

you have caused catylist damage to occur a blinking light means that there is sufficient misfireing to damage the converter which is probably the jerking at the speeds u reported its not the speed but the rpm range
