Which fuse controls brake lights? On a 2005 buick rendezvous 2wd

My info says hazard/flasher fuse in center console fuse box. You could also check proper colors at brake switch, the brake switch should be activated by brake pedal arm. Orange wire is hot all the time. White wire goes hot when brake switch is activated. Are the high-mount and lower brake lites both out?

I assume the fuse has power if the hazards work.
The third brake light skips the turn signal switch, the regular brake light circuit goes thru the turn signal switch.
Do you have power going into the turn signal switch on the red lite green wire from the brake switch ?

An easy way to test the switch is to jumper the wires together. If the brake lights come on you know the switch is bad. If not, then you have to look elsewhere in the system to solve the problem.

Check for power in and out of the switch with brake pedal depressed. If ok check to see if your hazard lights work you could have a faulty turn signal switch your brake lights feed through the T/S switch. Also make sure your bulbs are good.

The switch has a small plunger that has been pushed in too far. These are self adjusting units. You must pull out on the plunger with the brake pedal pressed, you will here it make noise as you pull out. This is normal then just release the brake and the pedal will set the length of the plunger for you. NOTE do not pull up on brake pedal, this will throw your adjustment off!
