Throttle positing senser on a 99ranger I changed it now the idle is way to high

The positioning of the new TPS IS OFFSET....It is possible to install it wrong by accident..I have seen this happen before..The pressure from the sensor plastic actuator has been installed and slightly twisted against the throttle lever inside which causes throttle to raise slightly....Wear safety glasses and disconnect battery..Remove sensor slowly and carefully while removing and watch the throttle lever inside to see if it moves in any direction...Carefully install it again making sure it doesn't twist the throttle lever inside where sensor mounts...The lever on the sensor should stay in its position...Carefully install sensor making sure it doesn't twist...Connect wiring and battery and start for a safety check.....It is possible to have a wrong sensor or faulty new sensor...Double check that it is the correct sensor...

Audi a4 56plate . when putting the thruttle down the car shutters, hesitates

Try unplugging the Mass Airflow sensor and see if the car runs better, if it does replace the MAF sensor. It is located in the air intake hose to the engine.

Replace rear drum brake pads

for the best help in this you really need to invest $25 in a manual for the vehicle. Here are the basic steps:
-jack up & remove wheel
-slide off drum (emergency brake off)
-remove springs between shoes, parking brake cable, pin thru backing plate with spring and twist cap retainer holding shoes to backing plate, draw or take a picture of each side before you disassemble as they may not be the same exactly on both sides
-check drum thickness & condition (have turned by shop or replace as required)
-rotate adjusting stars in all the way so that new assembly is not spread too wide to fit back in drum
-clean all parts well and re-assemble, use brake cleaner spray only! lubricate friction points of backing plate with high temp lithium grease-very small dab only! (important to double-check all the spring positions and levers and mechanical pieces during re-assembly
-brakes will self adjust to correct position while in reverse and applying pedal you may hear them clicking

How to get coorect position for upper spring perch on 1994 diamante?

Thanks for using FixYa.

There is no specific position for the spring perch. Just assemble it with the spring an shock absorber, put the screws back and you should be good to go.

The Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) on the 4.7L V–8 engine is bolted to the front/top of the right cylinder head (CMP Location—4.7L Engine).

It is easier to remove/install sensor from under vehicle.

Raise and support vehicle.
Disconnect electrical connector at CMP sensor (CMP Location—4.7L Engine).
Remove sensor mounting bolt (CMP Location—4.7L Engine).
Carefully twist sensor from cylinder head.

I need to replace the crank sensor on my 96 dodge with 5.9 cummins engine it i can not find it

The Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) on the 5.9L diesel engine is located (1) below the fuel injection pump. It is bolted to the back of the timing gear housing (7).

1. Disconnect electrical connector at CMP sensor.
2. Remove sensor mounting bolt (6).
3. Carefully twist sensor from timing gear housing.
4. Check condition of sensor O-ring.

1. Clean out machined hole in back of timing gear housing (cover).
2. Apply a small amount of engine oil to sensor O-ring.
3. Install sensor into timing gear housing (cover) with a slight rocking action. Do not twist sensor into position as damage to O-ring may result. CAUTION: Before tightening sensor mounting bolt, be sure sensor is completely flush to back of timing gear housing (cover). If sensor is not flush, damage to sensor mounting tang may result.
4. Install mounting bolt and tighten. Refer to Torque Specifications.
5. Connect electrical connector to sensor.

Replacing bad camshaft position sensor

  1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
  2. Remove water pump pulley attaching bolts, then the serpentine belt and water pump pulley.
  3. Disconnect sensor wiring connector and remove sensor retaining bolt.
  4. Twist and pull sensor to remove.
Reverse procedure to install and prior to installing new sensor, lubricate sensor O-ring.

It is located under the water pump. Make sure when you remove the sensor that you rotate the crank shaft and look in the hole to make sure the pick up magnet is still in there. Sometimes they come loose and cause a no start or long crank. You will need to have the code cleared still.
