Look on youtube for instructional videos.....can't imagine answering that question would be like...."Take off all the bolts that hold it in place..."

Ford escape 2004 V6 4x4 3.0L

So, dose it need a jump start every time? Have you tested your battery? Look, I'm suggestioning that your battery is messed up and your alternator is working now. Start your truck, and unhook the battery, if the engine keeps running, it's not your altenator or regulator. If it dies, then it's likely the regulator.

Wheel bearings bad in front 2001 Ford Escape, any hints on repairing this myself?

I have a 2004 Escape 4x4 that I replaced a front wheel bearing myself last fall. It was not "easy", but it was doable. First thing I did was subscribe to online to get detailed parts and service directions. For about $25 it gave me exact directions and steps to take. It did require some mid range automotive repair skills as well as a large hammer and a hydraulic press to reassemble. About $30.00 for the bearing and about 3-4 hours of labor...although next time I could probably do it in 2.

Good luck,
